ANOTHER ObamaCare Update

2700 pages of Health Care explained in 1 paragraph
Trump Explains Dumbo Care
No one can sum it up better than Trump

Let me get this straight....  We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, who have recently demonstrated their objective and professional integrity; written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a Dumbo President who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, and the Post Office all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

Let's get Serious About Syria

Serious About Syria?

By -  Thomas Sowell
Why are we even talking about taking military action in Syria? What is that military action supposed to accomplish? And what is the probability that it will in fact accomplish whatever that unknown goal might be?

What is painfully clear from President Obama's actions, inactions and delays is that he is more or less playing it by ear, as to what specifically he is going to do, and when. He is telling us more about what he is not going to do -- that he will not put "boots on the ground," for example -- than about what he will do.

All this is happening a year after issuing an ultimatum to the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria against the use of chemical or biological weapons. When the President of the United States issues an ultimatum to another sovereign nation, he should know in advance what he is going to do if that ultimatum is rejected.

But that is not the way Barack Obama operates. Like so many people who are masters of lofty words, he does not pay nearly as much attention to mundane realities. Campaigning is his strong suit. Governing is not.

With the mainstream media ready to ooh and aah over his rhetoric, and pass over in silence his policy disasters as President, Obama is home free as far as domestic politics is concerned. But, on the world stage, neither America's enemies nor America's allies are hypnotized by his words or his image.

Nations that have to decide whether to ally themselves with us or with our enemies understand that they are making life and death decisions. It is not about rhetoric, image or symbolism. It is about whether nations can count on the realism, wisdom and dependability of the American government.

Make no mistake about it, Barack Obama is a very clever man. But cleverness is not wisdom, or even common sense.

When he was in the Senate, Obama -- along with Senators Joe Biden, Chuck Hagel and Hillary Clinton -- was critical of the Bush administration for not being favorable to the Assad regime.
Hillary Clinton said that she and other lawmakers who visited Assad considered him a "reformer." Back in 2007, when Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, both Senator Biden and Senator Hagel chided her for not being more ready to negotiate with Assad.

Senator John Kerry in 2009 said, "Syria is an essential player in bringing peace and stability to the region."

Some people said that having Joe Biden as Vice President meant that President Obama had someone with many years of foreign policy experience. What they ignored was that Biden had decades of experience being wrong on foreign policy issues, time and time again.

Biden opposed President Ronald Reagan's military buildup that countered the Soviet Union's buildup, and helped bring about both the end of the Cold War and the end of the Soviet Union. General David Petraeus' "surge" strategy that greatly reduced the terrorist attacks in Iraq was opposed in 2007 by Senator Biden, who said, "We need to stop the surge and start to get our troops out."

Senator Hillary Clinton not only opposed the surge from the outset, she was among those who refused to believe that it had succeeded, even after all the hard evidence had convinced most other people.

The grim reality is that key people in positions to shape our foreign policy during the Obama administration -- the President, the Vice President, two Secretaries of State, and the current Secretary of Defense -- all have a track record of grossly misconceiving the issues, our enemies and our national interest.

This is the administration that is now asking for a blank check from Congress to take unspecified military action to achieve unspecified goals.

"Military action" is a polite phrase for killing people. It would be nice to believe that this has some larger purpose than saving Barack Obama from political embarrassment, after having issued an ultimatum without having thought through what he would do if that ultimatum was ignored.

He has the authority to take military action if he wants to. The question is whether he can sucker the Republicans into giving him political cover by pre-approving his unknown actions and unknown goals.

#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%##%#%#%#%#%#%

I cannot remember EVER disagreeing with Dr. Sowell on anything before.  I may be wrong, but I do not think the President does have the authority to take military action in this case, without the approval of Congress.

The way I understand it, he would have the authority ONLY if the United States was in emanate danger.   (For example, if we were under attack)

I realize Obama is in the habit of ignoring the constitution, and I also realize other Presidents have used Military force in the past without the OK from Congress, but that doesn’t make it right.

Opening the gates of hell

Syria will be the Waco of the Middle East

By Doug Hagmann  Tuesday, September 3, 2013

Events are now moving rapidly to accomplish the next step in the agenda of the globalists that will lead us into the unimaginable horrors of World War III. With each passing day, each passing hour, the curtain is being lifted a little more to expose the true agenda of the psychopaths and sociopaths who are leading the charge of war in our name, with our money and despite our apparent collective reluctance illustrated by a recent poll about intervention in Syria, our tacit approval for what is about to take place.

Syria is about to become the international version of Waco, for it is the same lie that is being used now as it was then: “It’s for the children.” We know all too well how the children of Waco fared. It’s not about the children, and never was. If anything, it’s in spite of the children.

“Showtime” in Syria

If you understand exactly what happened at Waco at the Branch Dividian compound, that is the truth rather than the official government and media account, then you will understand that we are on the verge of an international “Waco moment.” The template of terror and tyranny has not changed, but has been expanded and exported. Just as the standoff at Waco began with an ATF operation codenamed “Showtime,” the Syria “standoff” began with the decision to overthrow Assad by arming and training al Qaeda linked terrorists using weapons and arms confiscated from Libya.

The parallels of thought and action between Waco and Syria are eerily similar. The federal government cited deteriorating conditions inside the compound, conditions that they unnecessarily created. It was 51 days when the masterminds of the siege decided that they had to act “for the children.” They used paramilitary and military vehicles to pump CS gas into the compound, which resulted in a conflagration that killed 76 men, women and children. The conflagration was blamed on the actions of the people inside the compound, a claim that remains virtually unchallenged.

Like the situation in Waco, the U.S., under the spell of the globalists, is rapidly pushing Syria from “Showtime” to conflagration, as our leaders are calling for action in retaliation for the gassing of those in Syria. The official narrative that nearly all government leaders are parroting is that Assad is the culprit for the use of chemical weapons, despite the weight of evidence telling a completely different story. Yet the full court press is on, and only the naive or the complicit are buying these claims.

Like Waco, the actions of our government to ostensibly save the children will cause their deaths. Again, it’s really not for the children, but in spite of them, which makes their lies more contemptible and their unchecked actions more abhorrent.

Pelosi, a shameless sociopath

It was just reported that Nancy Pelosi shamelessly used an alleged conversation she had with her 5-year-old grandson to justify her support of military intervention in Syria. She explained to her purportedly inquisitive grandson that she is for war with Syria, but not in Syria, as they’ve killed hundreds of children there.

To Nancy Pelosi and everyone else who has the vile audacity to use children as the acceptable mantra of intervention, I say take a long and hard look at the picture of this little girl chained to a fence by those with whom you and your ilk have allied. It is the heartbreaking image of a toddler living in Eastern Syria, mercilessly shackled to a fence by the very people you support, the very savages you’ve armed, and the very people you consider acceptable to achieve your goal of reshaping the power structure in the Middle East for a seat at the globalists’ table. It was done in our name, using our tax dollars, with your approval but not our consent.

This young girl was forced to watch your “good bad-guys” dismember and murder her parents in sectarian violence that was exacerbated by your actions. At least your grandson won’t have to live with that memory, Mimi. Perhaps when your grandson is old enough to know the truth, he will remember you with the utter contempt you deserve. Just as it became personal for this innocent Syrian child, it might become personal for your protected lineage when the truth is finally known.

Opening the gates of hell

At present, reliable estimates support figures that about 150,000 Syrians have died since “Showtime” in 2011, or since the globalist agenda to topple Assad began in earnest. The orchestrated violence has created more than one million refugees, many Christians, who have since become statistics at the hands of your Muslim henchmen. But the worst is yet to come.

Based on the analysis of Gajendra Singh, a retired Indian diplomat with decades of experience in Middle East affairs and a working understanding of the ethnic makeup of Syria, the toppling of Assad would likely result in an internal bloodbath that would lead to the unchecked slaughter of twenty percent of their population of twenty million. That’s four million men, women and children.
But the bloodbath will not stop there, as unlike Libya, Iran and Afghanistan, Syria will explode and not implode. It will set off a chain of events across the region and across the world that will open Pandora’s box to World War III.

Even that’s not the worst part, for Syria is merely the pyrotechnic display to divert people’s attention to a much bigger agenda - a much bigger lie. The real target here is the total destruction of the United States, not with an attack by bullets and bombs, but an attack against our economy and the U.S. dollar. That’s the real agenda, to take down the United States economically and replace the global transactional activity without the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency. To achieve a new economic order led by a new world order, the U.S. dollar must be destroyed. Wealth must be transferred and the future must be bought. By so doing, our sovereignty will be lost to a new economic order, or a new world order which does not permit our Constitutional Republic to exist. We are well on the way, far down that path.

We are witnessing the machinations of psychopaths and sociopaths who have long been hidden behind the curtain, pulling the strings of the puppets to whom they have sold their souls for a seat at the globalist table. The international bankers who fund all sides of every war own the politicians and the media, and soon, they will own us. The American political system, the media and America itself has become a captured operation.

As the politicians weigh in on Syria, we are seeing that there is only one political party, the party of royalty, and we are their subjects. It is the party of the globalists, those who are pushing for the “non-existent, kooky conspiracy” of a New World Order. It’s the elephant in the room no one on network television and no one on syndicated radio dares talk about, for it is “too edgy” and “too conspiratorial” to discuss and maintain an air of legitimacy. No, they must keep the lie going, despite the slow rise of the curtain to reveal that it not only exists, but we’re seeing it play out in real time.
Just as we saw it play out in Waco, as those in power constantly asserted that “we did it for the sake of the children.”

America's Syria Folly

The United States faces no serious military threat today, yet is constantly at war.
The national government seemingly searches for new conflicts to join. A gaggle of politicians, analysts and pundits, most of whom never heard a gun fired in anger, faithfully lobby to bomb, invade and occupy the enemy du jour.

FOLLOW UP ON "The Situation in Syria" POST

Secretary of State John Kerry seems to be very anxious to get the United States involved in the Syrian civil war.  He predicted on “This Week” that Congress will authorize the president to order a military strike on Syria as punishment for the country’s alleged use of chemical weapons against its civilian population last month.
“We are not going to lose this vote,” Kerry said of the coming debate to authorize military action against Syria when Congress returns from recess. “The president of the United States is committed to securing the unity of purpose that he believes strengthens America. And I believe the Congress will see that that’s the responsible thing to do here.”

Speaking from the Rose Garden at the White House Saturday, President Obama said that although he believed he had the authority to order an attack on Syria without the authorization of Congress, he had decided to seek their consent before ordering any such strike on the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
Funny thing about ole swift boat Kerry, he has always had a reputation of being “for it before he was against it” or “against it before he was for it”.

In 1991, during the debate before the first Gulf War Kerry initially opposed the immediate use of military force to expel Iraqi soldiers from Kuwait.    The United Nations had imposed sanctions on Iraq, and Kerry argued that the sanctions then in place should be given more time to work.

On December 14, 2001, 3 months after the attacks of 9/11, Kerry said on Larry King Live that "I think we clearly have to keep the pressure on terrorism globally.  This doesn't end with Afghanistan by any imagination.  And I think the president has made that clear.  I think we have made that clear.  Terrorism is a global menace.  It's a scourge.  And it is absolutely vital that we continue against, for instance, Saddam Hussein."

Kerry said on October 9, 2002; "I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force, if necessary, to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."   Kerry also gave a January 23, 2003 speech to Georgetown University saying "Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein.  He is a brutal, murderous dictator; leading an oppressive regime he presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation.  So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real."

Kerry had spoken before the war about the sorts of weapons many believed Saddam Hussein had.  On the Senate floor on October 9, 2002, he said that "According to the CIA's report, all U.S. intelligence experts agree that Iraq is seeking nuclear weapons. There is little question that Saddam Hussein wants to develop nuclear weapons."

After the invasion of Iraq, when no weapons of mass destruction were found, Kerry strongly criticized Bush, contending that he had misled the country: "When the President of the United States looks at you and tells you something, there should be some trust."

Back in the mid 80s, John Kerry was against President Reagan’s arming of the Nicaraguan anti-Communist Contra forces because, “America should not subvert its values “by funding terrorism to overthrow governments of other countries”.  Yet here he stands, arguing that we should fund and arm the rebels, who have been linked to a known terrorist organization like al-Qaeda, so they can overthrow their government.  (Not to mention the illegal funneling of arms to the Syrian rebels through Benghazi – which still isn’t being discussed or answered for.)

And as for Vietnam, just ask ANY Vietnam Vet his opinion of John Kerry.  Or. I can save you the trouble, just go to this link:  http://www.militarycorruption.com/kerry4.htm

The following comments are just a part of John Kerry’s testimony which was given before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in April 1971.

In our opinion and from our experience, there is nothing in South Vietnam which could happen that realistically threatens the United States of America. And to attempt to justify the loss of one American life in Vietnam, Cambodia or Laos by linking such loss to the preservation of freedom, which those misfits supposedly abuse, is to us the height of criminal hypocrisy, and it is that kind of hypocrisy which we feel has torn this country apart.

We found that not only was it a civil war, an effort by a people who had for years been seeking their liberation from any colonial influence whatsoever, but also we found that the Vietnamese whom we had enthusiastically molded after our own image were hard put to take up the fight against the threat we were supposedly saving them from.

We found most people didn’t even know the difference between communism and democracy. They only wanted to work in rice paddies without helicopters strafing them and bombs with napalm burning their villages and tearing their country apart. They wanted everything to do with the war, particularly with this foreign presence of the United States of America, to leave them alone in peace, and they practiced the art of survival by siding with whichever military force was present at a particular time, be it Viet Cong, North Vietnamese or American.

We found also that all too often American men were dying in those rice paddies for want of support from their allies. We saw first-hand how monies from American taxes were used for a corrupt dictatorial regime. We saw that many people in this country had a one-sided idea of who was kept free by the flag, and blacks provided the highest percentage of casualties. We saw Vietnam ravaged equally by American bombs and search and destroy missions, as well as by Viet Cong terrorism – and yet we listened while this country tried to blame all of the havoc on the Viet Cong. We rationalized destroying villages in order to save them. We saw America lose her sense of morality as she accepted very coolly a My Lai and refused to give up the image of American soldiers who hand out chocolate bars and chewing gum.

We learned the meaning of free fire zones, shooting anything that moves, and we watched while America placed a cheapness on the lives of Orientals. We watched the United States falsification of body counts, in fact the glorification of body counts. We listened while month after month we were told the back of the enemy was about to break. We fought using weapons against” Oriental human beings.” We fought using weapons against those people which I do not believe this country would dream of using were we fighting in the European theater.

We watched while men charged up hills because a general said that hill has to be taken, and after losing one platoon or two platoons they marched away to leave the hill for reoccupation by the North Vietnamese. We watched pride allow the most unimportant battles to be blown into extravaganzas, because we couldn’t lose, and we couldn’t retreat, and because it didn’t matter how many American bodies were lost to prove that point, and so there were Hamburger Hills and Khe Sanhs and Hill 81s and Fire Base 6s, and so many others.

Now we are told that the men who fought there must watch quietly while American lives are lost so that we can exercise the incredible arrogance of Vietnamizing the Vietnamese. Each day to facilitate the process by which the United States washes her hands of Vietnam someone has to give up his life so that the United States doesn’t have to admit something that the entire world already knows, so that we can’t say that we have made a mistake. Someone has to die so that President Nixon won’t be, and these are his words, “the first President to lose a war.”

We are asking Americans to think about that because how do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam? How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake? We are here in Washington to say that the problem of this war is not just a question of war and diplomacy. It is part and parcel of everything that we are trying as human beings to communicate to people in this country – the question of racism which is rampant in the military, and so many other questions such as the use of weapons; the hypocrisy in our taking umbrage at the Geneva Conventions and using that as justification for a continuation of this war when we are more guilty than any other body of violations of those Geneva Conventions… That is what we are trying to say. It is part and parcel of everything… We are here to ask, and we are here to ask vehemently, where are the leaders of our country? Where is the leadership?

We’re here to ask where are McNamara, Rostow, Bundy, Gilpatrick, and so many others? Where are they now that we, the men they sent off to war, have returned? These are the commanders who have deserted their troops. And there is no more serious crime in the laws of war. The Army says they never leave their wounded. The marines say they never even leave their dead. These men have left all the casualties and retreated behind a pious shield of public rectitude. They’ve left the real stuff of their reputations bleaching behind them in the sun in this country…

But, all those examples were Then, and Syrian is NOW.  Now he believes it is our duty to become involver in their civil war.  What do you think?

Obama's Failed Economic Policies

Thomas Sowell - Obama's Failed Economic Policies

Today's GLOBAL WARMING UPDATE

Peru Declares State of Emergency in Puno as Temperatures Drop

The reason the “global warming” nonsense ever got started in the first place was for money and power, the power to control CO2 = the stuff you exhale.  So a tax on C02 = tax on your right to exist/live.   That’s the ultimate tax, from the ultimate power-mad sociopaths.

Since the 1980s, the hoax of “global warming” has existed as the platform for the transfer of trillions from wealthy industrialized nations to those that have failed to keep pace with modernity.  The reason for the latter is because they are ruled by predatory criminal thugs or because, as in the case of the Middle East, Islam has resisted change since its arrival in the seventh century A.D.

There is no “global warming” of the kind described by heads of state, deceitful scientists, and, in particular, the United Nations where the hoax was originated.  The recently concluded UN conference on climate change all but abandoned the hoax while advancing its one-world government agenda.

There is no “global warming” because the Earth is a decade into a predictable and natural cycle of cooling, not unlike previous ones, but one which may signal an equally predictable new ice age.  The interval between the Earth’s previous ice ages has been 11,500 years and we are at the end of the current interglacial period.
