White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday the Obama administration’s foreign policies in a number of areas have enhanced the world’s “tranquility” – a word that raised eyebrows as reporters pointed to situations in Gaza, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Ukraine and the South China Sea.

Senate Democrats Vote to Change 1st Amendment!

The First Amendment is one of the pillars of our great republic.

Without the right to speak freely, publicly assemble, and practice religion, the United States simply wouldn’t exist.  Without this right, the United States would be completely different.

In recent years, the Supreme Court has slapped down campaign finance laws and Federal Elections Commission regulations because they place an undue burden on individuals’ first amendment rights. 

The first amendment doesn’t just protect your right to stand on a soapbox.   Free “speech” protects more than just your right to open your mouth and talk. “Speech” includes a number of different mechanisms and mediums to express individual beliefs and opinions. 

The Democrats absolutely hate your first amendment rights.  How else do you explain the fact that on this past Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 10-8 to approve S.J. Res. 19, the “Money Out/Voters In” amendment?  This resolution would radically redefine the first amendment and alter our constitution! 

That’s right; the Democrats in the Judiciary Committee approved an amendment to the constitution that would exclude speech that costs money from the constitution’s protections.  This amendment would even give Congress the authority to ban books.  You didn’t see this on any of the news stations, but we are now one vote away from completely losing the first amendment to the Constitution! 

This proposed amendment will now go to the floor for a vote.  With forty-five co-sponsors, it is dangerously close to becoming a part of our constitution. 

The Obama administration is on a crusade to silence the conservative movement.  First, Obama’s IRS targeted Conservative non-profit groups to stop them from participating in the election.  Now, Democrats in the Senate are trying to get rid of your first amendment rights! 

This isn’t a joke!  The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the proposed amendment and now the FULL SENATE is going to vote on whether to absolutely gut the first amendment. 

Whether it is Diane Feinstein trying to pick and choose which “qualified journalists” are afforded constitutional protections or now the Senate Judiciary committee trying to restrict free speech, the war over the first amendment has come to your doorstep! 

Democrats will incrementally eliminate our rights little by little until they have what they want.  And it is now obvious that a dictatorship is what they want.  If you believe you would be content living in a dictatorship, then just ignore this email and go back to watching reruns of pawn stars or whatever.  

On the other hand, if you would like to keep what freedoms you still have, I suggest you call, fax, or email your senators and congressman and express your opinion. 

NFL TEAM NAME CHANGE

No matter which side you are on in this matter, this is funny.
Here is an email sent to Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune after an article he published concerning a name change for the Washington Redskins. 
 
Dear Mr. Page... 
 
I always love your articles, and I generally agree with them.  I would suggest, as in an email I received, they change the name to the "Foreskins" to better represent their community, paying tribute to the dick heads in Congress. 
 
I agree with our Native American population. I am highly insulted by the racially charged name of the Washington Redskins. One might argue that to name a professional football team after Native Americans would exalt them as fine warriors, but nay, nay. We must be careful not to offend, and in the spirit of political correctness and courtesy, we must move forward. 
 
Let's ditch the Kansas City Chiefs, the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians.  If your shorts are in a wad because of the reference the name Redskins makes to skin color, then we need to   get rid of the Cleveland Browns. 
 
The Carolina Panthers obviously were named to keep the memory of militant Blacks from the 60's alive.   It's offensive to us white folk.   
 
The New York Yankees offend the Southern population. Do you see a team named for the Confederacy?  No!  There is no room for any reference to that tragic war that cost this country so many young men's lives. 
 
I am also offended by the blatant references to the Catholic religion among our sports team names.  Totally inappropriate to have the New Orleans Saints, the Los Angeles Angels or the San Diego Padres. 
 
Then there are the team names that glorify criminals who raped and pillaged. We are talking about the horrible Oakland Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Pirates! 
 
Now, let us address those teams that clearly send the wrong message to our children.  The San Diego Chargers promote irresponsible fighting or even spending habits.   Wrong message to our children. 
 
The New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants promote obesity, a growing childhood epidemic.  Wrong message to our children. 
 
The Cincinnati Reds promote downers/barbiturates.  Wrong message to our children. 
 
The Milwaukee Brewers.  Well that goes without saying.  Wrong message to our children. 
   
So, there you go.  We need to support any legislation that comes out to rectify this travesty, because the government will likely become involved with this issue, as they should.  Just the kind of thing the do-nothing Congress loves . . . 
   
As a diehard Oregon State fan, my wife and I, with all of this in mind, suggest it might also make some sense to change the name of the Oregon State women's athletic teams to something other than "the Beavers."

The EPA Now Claims the Power to “Garnish Wages” Without a Court Order.

President Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency has been unleashed and spurred on by their almost cult-like belief in global warming and big government.

The EPA has absolutely no right to garnish the wages of individuals without a court order, properly adjudicated by a judge.  This rule would allow the EPA to arbitrarily accuse individuals of “crimes” against the environment, levying ridiculous fines, then garnishing the person’s wages if they challenge the fines or refuse to pay.

Defense analysts say there has been a buildup of military units within non-security-related federal agencies, notably the creation of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams. The buildup has raised questions about whether the Obama administration is undermining civil liberties under the guise of counterterrorism and counternarcotics efforts.

Other agencies with SWAT teams reportedly include the Department of Agriculture, the Railroad Retirement Board, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Office of Personnel Management, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Education Department.

The militarization of federal agencies, under little-known statues that permit deputization of security officials, comes as the White House has launched verbal attacks on private citizens' ownership of firearms despite the fact that most gun owners are law-abiding citizens.

A White House National Security Council spokeswoman declined to comment.
