Just when you thought the GOP Couldn’t get any more Crooked

COLORADO HAS NO PRIMARY OR CAUCUS; CRUZ CELEBRATES VOTERLESS VICTORY.
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump erupted on “Fox & Friends” Monday morning after a weekend that saw Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas sweep all of Colorado’s 34 delegates without any votes being cast by citizens in a traditional primary process.
“I’ve gotten millions … of more votes than [Sen. Ted] Cruz, and I’ve gotten hundreds of delegates more, and we keep fighting, fighting, fighting, and then you have a Colorado where they just get all of these delegates, and it’s not [even] a system,” Trump said, during the Fox News broadcast. “There was no voting. I didn’t go out there to make a speech or anything. There’s no voting.”

His comments came after Cruz won the remaining 13 delegates at the weekend’s convention, bringing his total for the state to 34, an outcome he described as unfair and just shy of illegal.

“They offer them trips — they offer them all sorts of things, and you’re allowed to do that,” Trump said, of the method by which some woo delegates. “I mean, you’re allowed to offer trips, and you can buy all these votes. What kind of a system is this? Now, I’m an outsider, and I came into the system and I’m winning the votes by millions of votes. But the system is rigged. It’s crooked.”

ALSO, in Virginia:
Despite Donald Trump winning Virginia on Super Tuesday, two of three delegates elected in the first district convention here are supporters of rival Ted Cruz.   They will of course vote for Cruz on the second ballot if it were to take place at the national convention.
In the 9th congressional district, Donald Trump took over 47 percent of the votes on Super Tuesday. In Virginia's primary for this district, Ted Cruz won only about 19 percent of the votes.
GOP delegates from Virginia are required to vote as allocated by voters in the primary in the first ballot at the national convention, but are able to vote for whoever they choose in successive ballots.
In Virginia's primary, Trump received 17 delegates, whereas Cruz had only received eight.

American Politics has been Crooked for a long time, but never THIS Obvious.

For decades, both major parties have used a somewhat convoluted process for picking their nominees, one that involves ordinary voters in only an indirect way.
As Americans flock this year to outsider candidates, the kind most hindered by these rules, they are suddenly waking up to this reality.  And their confusion and anger are adding another volatile element to an election being waged over questions of fairness and equality.

In Nashville a week ago, supporters of Donald J. Trump accused Republican leaders of trying to stack the state’s delegate slate with people who were anti-Trump. The Trump campaign posted the cellphone number of the state party chairman on Twitter, leading him to be inundated with calls. Several dozen people showed up at the meeting at which delegates were being named, banged on the windows and demanded to be let in.

Backers of Senator Bernie Sanders, bewildered at why he keeps winning states but cannot seem to cut into Hillary Clinton’s delegate count because of her overwhelming lead with “superdelegates,” have used Reddit and Twitter to start an aggressive pressure campaign to flip votes.

To win the nomination, Trump would have to go on a month-long winning  streak, starting in New York on April 19, that would deliver a sizable haul of delegates — including increased commitments from those who are unbound.

Crooked Politics as Usual…I’m thinking “third party”.

Indiana hasn’t cast its ballots for president yet, but Donald Trump is already losing.
Republican Party insiders in the state will select 27 delegates to the national convention on Saturday, and Trump is assured to be nearly shut out of support, according to interviews with a dozen party leaders and officials involved in the delegate selection process.  Anti-Trump sentiment runs hot among GOP leadership in Indiana, and it’s driving a virulent rejection of the mogul among likely delegates.

POLLS:

A third of Republican voters who support Donald Trump could turn their backs on their party in November's presidential election if he is denied the nomination in a contested convention, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

Islamic Terrorists Illegally Enter via Mexican Border

Hundreds of Islamic Terrorists Illegally Enter via Mexican Border
“Recent reports state that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection has apprehended several members of known Islamist terrorist organizations crossing the southern border in recent years.”

Congressman Ron DeSantis  in a March 23rd, 2016 House Oversight Committee, National Security Subcommittee hearing.

On April 4, 2016, DeSantis attended the first of several town hall events scheduled in Florida called, “Defeat the Jihad Tour.” The hearing and tours follow the wake of news reports detailing the lack of border security and ongoing terrorism threats, especially on the Texas/Mexico border.

According to The Houston Chronicle, the Texas Department of Public Safety stated it has shifted law enforcement resources to better protect the border, but this shift enabled crime to increase in other parts of the state. The Washington Post published a story shortly thereafter, stating that authorities had detained several people with ties to Islamist terrorist organizations. (Apparently, information was obtained from a report leaked to the Chronicle about which the public was not supposed to learn.)

The report lists 439 cases of “special interest aliens” who illegally crossed or attempted to cross the Mexican/US border into Texas and are associated with Islamic terrorist groups. They came from 35 Middle Eastern, African, and Asian countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Pakistan, and Syria. They each were associated with Islamic terrorist groups.

According to the leaked report, authorities listed 143 “land border crossing encounters with watch-listed individuals in southwest border states between November 2013 and July 2014.”

One encounter, for example, was with an alleged member of al-Shabaab, the Islamic Somalia-based group responsible for the 2013 mall massacre in Nairobi, Kenya. Another related to the apprehension of another Somali named Ahmed Muhammed Dhakane, who was tied to terrorist groups al-Shabaab, al-Itihaad al-Islamiya, and al-Barakat. Dhakane not only crossed into Texas, but also helped move an unknown number of suspected Somali terrorists. Still another, was with three Sri Lankans, one of whom claimed that he was a member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam “on his way to Canada.”

This report is only one of several.

What Trump Has Wrought

What Trump Has Wrought

By Patrick Buchanan
Monday - April 4, 2016 at 10:45 pm

As Wisconsinites head for the polls, our Beltway elites are almost giddy. For they foresee a Badger State bashing for Donald Trump, breaking his momentum toward the Republican nomination.

Should the Donald fall short of the delegates needed to win on the first ballot, 1,237, there is growing certitude that he will be stopped. First by Ted Cruz; then, perhaps, by someone acceptable to the establishment, which always likes to have two of its own in the race.

But this city of self-delusion should realize there is no going back for America. For, whatever his stumbles of the last two weeks, Trump has helped to unleash the mightiest force of the 21st century: nationalism.

Transnationalism and globalism are moribund.

First among the issues on which Trump has triumphed — “We will build the wall — and Mexico will pay for it!” — is border security.

Republican candidates who failed to parrot Trump on illegal immigration were among the first casualties.

For that is where America is, and that is where the West is.

Consider Europe. Four months ago, Angela Merkel was Time’s Person of the Year for throwing open the gates to the “huddled masses” of the Middle and Near East.
Merkel’s Germany is now leading the EU in amassing a huge bribe to the Turks to please take them back, and keep them away from the Greek islands that are now Islam’s Ellis Island into Europe.

Africa’s population will double to 2.5 billion by 2050. With 60 percent of Africans now under 25 years of age, millions will find their way to the Med to cross to the Old Continent where Europeans are aging, shrinking and dying. Look for gunboats in the Med.

If immigration is the first issue where Trump connected with the people, the second is trade.

Republicans are at last learning that trade deficits do matter, that free trade is not free. The cost comes in dead factories, lost jobs, dying towns and the rising rage of an abandoned Middle America whose country this is and whose wages have stagnated for decades.

Economists who swoon over figures on consumption forget what America’s 19th-century meteoric rise to self-sufficiency teaches, and what all four presidents on Mount Rushmore understood.

Production comes before consumption. Who owns the orchard is more essential than who eats the apples. We have exported the economic independence that Hamilton taught was indispensable to our political independence. We have forgotten what made us great.

China, Japan, Germany — the second, third and fourth largest economies on earth — all owe their prosperity to trade surpluses run for decades at the expense of the Americans.

A third casualty of Trumpism is the post-Cold War foreign policy consensus among liberal interventionists and neoconservatives.

Trump subjects U.S. commitments to a cost-benefit analysis, as seen from the standpoint of cold national interest.

What do we get from continuing to carry the largest load of the defense of a rich Europe, against a Russia with one-fourth of Europe’s population?
How does Vladimir Putin, leader of a nation that in the last century lost its European and world empires and a third of its landmass, threaten us?

Why must we take the lead in confronting and containing Putin in Ukraine, Crimea and Georgia? No vital U.S. interest is imperiled there, and Russia’s ties there are older and deeper than ours to Puerto Rico.

Why is it the responsibility of the U.S. Pacific Fleet to defend the claims of Hanoi, Manila, Kuala Lumpur and Brunei, to rocks, reefs and islets in the South China Sea — against the claims of China?

American hawks talk of facing down Beijing in the South and East China Seas while U.S. companies import so much in Chinese-made goods they are fully subsidizing Beijing’s military budget.

Does this make sense?

Patriotism, preserving and protecting the unique character of our nation and people, economic nationalism, America First, staying out of other nation’s wars — these are as much the propellants of Trumpism as is the decline of the American working and middle class.

Trump’s presence in the race has produced the largest turnout ever in the primaries of either party. He has won the most votes, most delegates, most states. Wisconsin aside, he will likely come to Cleveland in that position.

If, through rules changes, subterfuge and faithless delegates, party elites swindle him out of the nomination, do they think that the millions who came out to vote for Trump will go home and say: We lost it fair and square?

Do they think they can then go back to open borders, amnesty, a path to citizenship, the Trans-Pacific Partnership and nation building?

Whatever happens to Trump, the country has spoken. And if the establishment refuses to heed its voice, and returns to the policies the people have repudiated, it should take heed of John F. Kennedy’s warning:
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.”

There is no Freedom of Religion in America for Christians.

I am a pro-life Christian but I do not try to push my religious beliefs on others.  I know a lot of Christians do, but I believe “to each their own”.
As for "same sex marriage”, I am not bothered one bit by same sex marriage as long as no person or group of people are forced to participate in any way with a wedding, or any other activity which they consider to be against their religion.  That is called “freedom of Religion”, which is what this country is suppose to be all about.

In recent years the courts have confused “freedom of Religion” with “freedom from Religion”, and the climate for Christian business owners has become much more hostile, when interacting with Muslims or with homosexual couples looking to get married.  Our government, our courts and society in general are making it increasingly clear that Christian business owners no longer have “freedom of religion”.

Here are just a few examples:
New Mexico’s Supreme Court tells Christian Photographer she “CANNOT” refuse to photograph gay marriage ceremonies.

In Colorado, a Christian baker is being sued for declining to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple’s marriage ceremony.

The state of Washington is suing a Christian florist for refusing to provide wedding flowers for the wedding ceremony of a gay couple.

In Oregon, we find the latest example of the attack on Christians. A small family owned bakery has been forced to shutter its doors because of the financial and emotional damage done to them by gay-marriage activists. Aaron and Melissa Klein were the owners and operators of Sweet Cakes by Melissa. Over the last few months they have faced almost constant harassment because of their decision to not bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple’s wedding ceremony.

The harassment was not isolated to the Kleins but was also directed at their vendors who provided the resources for the Kleins to be in business. The blowback was such that most of their vendors would no longer do business with them, which meant that the Kleins could not successfully operate their bakery. The harassment began after the lesbian couple filed a complaint with the state in which they accused the Klein’s of discrimination.

The personal damage has been just as egregious. The Kleins have received cruel phone calls and emails. Their family has been threatened, and people have wished evil done to them and their children.

HOW THE RINOS PLAN TO SCREW DONALD TRUMP

How Votes For Trump Could
Become Delegates for Someone Else

The rules for how Republican delegates are selected — which differ in every state — could end up turning votes for one candidate into delegates who will support another candidate at the convention.

Delegates are generally supposed to represent voters.
