HERE IS THE PROBLEM

Hundreds of thousands of young people across this once great country, just like the one in this video, re-elected Obama.

Our nation’s college students are largely civically illiterate.  According to surveys from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, college freshmen typically flunk a 60-question civics test with an average score of just better than 51 percent; college seniors flunk it with a score of around 53 percent.

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, our country’s high schools taught less about the constitution in 2010 than they did in 2006, a trend that continues.  In fact, in 2010, only 67 percent of high school seniors studied our founding documents, meaning about a third don’t study our government in the year before they are eligible to vote.

Based on National Assessment of Education Progress tests, the formal assessment exams given to students across the nation to gauge what they’re learning, American students exhibit an alarming lack of proficiency in government and economics.

As of 2006 only 36 percent of high school seniors could name the government’s primary source of income. (That would be taxes, kids.)  Only 33 percent could explain the effect of an increase in real interest rates on consumer borrowing, and a scant 11 percent could analyze how a change in unemployment rates affects income, spending and production.

And of course, it’s not just young adults who are civically illiterate.  In 2008, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute administered a basic 33-question civic literacy test to a random sample of 2,508 American adults. Respondents had a range of educational attainment from high school diplomas to advanced degrees.

ARE YOU A HOPELESS BRAIN DEAD IDIOT?

THE TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP
The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a secretive trade deal with Asian nations that could reshape the American economy and our foreign relations. Chances are, you’ve never even heard of it. That is because nobody wants you to. It has been in negotiations for two years and is being kept secret from everyone, even Congress, because the participants do not want public opinion to derail it. Senator Ron Wyden is the chairman of the trade committee in the Senate. His office is supposed to have oversight of trade agreements like this. Yet, he has been denied access to TPP documents, and has even had to file legislation demanding he be able to read it!
TPP is not simply about how countries “trade” with one another. In fact, the current document is comprised of almost 30 chapters, and only two of them address trade. The others set binding rules on service-sector regulation, investment, patents and copyrights, government procurement, financial regulation and labor and environmental standards. TPP will:
  • Send millions of American jobs offshore
  • Give longer monopoly control of drugs to big pharmacy firms
  • Limit food labeling, which could flood the U.S. with unsafe food
  • Bring back policies of SOPA by stifling internet freedom and killing innovation
  • Ban “Buy America” policies
  • Allow foreign corporations to attack our health laws and environmental regulations before an international tribunal, and give them taxpayer compensation
Participating countries include the U.S. and Australia, Brunei, Chile, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. Japan, China, Mexico and Canada are also interested in joining.

But it doesn’t much matter who is on board now; eventually, every country in the world could take part. Those sounding the alarm about the TPP are warning it could be the last trade agreement ever negotiated because once it’s in place, other countries can simply join in, without any talks, without any restrictions, without debate. That in and of itself would be a reason to make sure it’s a rock solid, well-debated document; unfortunately, it’s not. Wallach says, “It’s only gotten this far because it’s been secret. What’s really important to understand about these agreements, it’s not about trade, and it’s like cement. Once the cement dries in these agreements, you can’t change the rules, unless…all the other countries agree.”

Obama promised to be transparent, remember? And, while running for president in 2008, Obama said, “We will not negotiate bilateral trade agreements that stop the government from protecting the environment, food safety, or the health of its citizens; [or] give greater rights to foreign investors than to U.S. investors.” While campaigning this year, he repeatedly hammered Governor Romney over offshore jobs and investments.

That was “campaign trail” Obama. President Obama, on the other hand, has managed to keep the TPP under wraps while allowing its language to send millions of jobs away from America and give greater rights to foreign investors; two things he claimed he would not do while begging for votes.

The only thing we know about the agreement is what was accidentally leaked in February of last year; but of course there have been meetings and updates since that document was discovered so the language has certainly changed. And one of the larger concerns that have emerged is that TPP will be a backdoor way to get the Stop Online Piracy Act passed. A former White House staffer admits the copyright industry is working to get SOPA legislation into the trade agreement since it failed in Congress after very public opposition.

Lori Wallach of Global Trade Watch says,Via closed-door negotiations, U.S. officials are rewriting swaths of U.S. law that have nothing to do with trade and in a move that will infuriate left and right alike, have agreed to submit the U.S. government to the jurisdiction of foreign tribunals that can order unlimited payments of our tax dollars to foreign corporations that don’t want to comply with the same laws our domestic firms do.”

So just as Obama has opened up our waters to foreign countries for drilling but banned U.S. participation, now his administration is in the middle of drafting a trade agreement that will give foreign corporations access to our economic system, but will not require them to play by the same rules U.S. corporations have to. And to add insult to injury, your tax dollars will be spent appeasing any country that feels they have been treated unfairly. Stifling regulations will give international corporations control and harm American businesses and especially, the American consumer.

Members of Congress are becoming increasingly upset over the secrecy. Over 125 representatives wrote a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk, asking him to reveal the contents of the TPP:
“We write to urge you and your staff to engage in broader and deeper consultations with members of the full range of committees of Congress…and to ensure there is ample opportunity for Congress to have input on critical policies that will have broad ramifications for years to come. If Congress and the public are not informed of the exact terms of the agreement until the conclusion of the process, then any opportunity for meaningful input is lost. Given the laudable priority given to improved government transparency since the first day of the Obama Administration, we are troubled that there may be needless secrecy and over-classification of documents…”

No more secrets. The TPP needs to become public and Congress needs to look at what language is being drafted before our country is sold down the river. As Lori Wallach says, “We need more democracy. We need more accountability.”

AFTER READING THIS, IF YOU ARE STILL A BELIEVER IN OBAMA’S “hope and change bullcrap”, THEN YOU ARE A FREAKING HOPELESS BRAIN DEAD IDIOT.

VOTER FRAUD? I DON'T SEE ANY FRAUD HERE.

On Tuesday (11/6/12) only one precinct had less than 113% turnout. “The Unofficial vote count is 175,554 registered voters 247,713 vote cards cast (141.10%). The National SEAL Museum, a St. Lucie county polling place, had 158.85% voter turn out, the highest in the county.”

What’s Behind Obama’s Military Purge?

Here’s an interesting article I found on the internet.

Is something deep and dark afoot in the upper regions of military command?

Since the Sept. 11 Benghazi, Libya, massacre, President Barack Obama has sacked his CIA director and two of his top military commanders, demoted one and found another caught up in the scandal involving the CIA director. This many top commanders being relieved at one time is unprecedented in U.S. history.

So, are sexual misconduct and corruption that rife in the military command? Or is Obama making a point about staying on script in the Benghazi incident? Or is the President purging a group of rogue commanders who were planning a coup?

The recent casualties of the high command are CIA Director (formerly top Afghanistan commander) David Petraeus, General Carter F. Ham (AfriCOM) and Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette (Carrier Task Force Stennis), who were sacked; General William “Kip” Ward (former AfriCOM), who was stripped of a star; and Afghanistan commander Marine General John R. Allen, who has been tied to the Petraeus “sex scandal” in a guilt-by-association sort of way.

This is reminiscent of Joseph Stalin’s and Adolf Hitler’s purges and executions of top military commanders who did not toe the line — without the bullets.

Petraeus was either sacked or chose to resign, perhaps because he was galled by being forced to claim something he knew to be not true: that the attack was the result of an amateurish video denigrating Mohammed as the pedophile and murder he was. So a sex scandal story was fabricated — or used after being held in abeyance — to try to shut him up or embarrass him. Now, he says he’ll testify before Congress. He should watch his back in the coming days.

The dismissal of Ham is interesting because there are reports that he had assets in place set to rescue Libyan Ambassador Christopher Stevens and his team but was ordered to stand down. According to Tigerdroppings.com, Ham was receiving the same emails the White House was receiving requesting support as the attack was under way. Ham got a rapid response unit ready and communicated that with the Pentagon. When he was told to stand down, Ham responded he was not going to obey the order. Less than a minute later, his second in command told Ham that he had been relieved of his command.

In a highly unusual move, Gaouette was relieved while deployed “pending the outcome of an internal investigation into undisclosed allegations of inappropriate judgment,” according to a report by The Stars and Stripes (since scrubbed from its website). But the Russian intelligence agency GRU reports that Gaouette’s firing was due to his disobeying orders when he ordered his forces to “assist and provide intelligence for” American military forces ordered into action by Ham.”

The whole Benghazi cover-up story took an even stranger turn with revelations that the man who succeeded Petraeus in Afghanistan had sent hundreds of emails to Jill Kelley, the woman who supposedly caused the FBI to open its investigation into Petraeus. The emails were then reported to be of the “phone sex” variety.

And finally there’s Ward, who had been under investigation for a year and a half over charges he had spent $82,000 on lavish travel and other unauthorized expenses.
Being among the top brass is an increasingly dangerous business.

THE NEW ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN

California Senator and longtime gun-hater Dianne Feinstein's legal staff held meetings last week with FTB/ATF legal staff to discuss a new "Assault Weapons Ban" Madame Feinstein would be looking to push through Congress if President Obama wins reelection.

Word has it that it would ban pistol grips (on everything other than pistols) and "high-capacity" magazines (all magazines that hold move than 10 rounds). It would also eliminate any grandfathering and ban sales of "weapons in possession". In other words, it doesn’t necessarily have to actually BE an assault weapon to be banned; it only has to LOOK like one.
A TRUE ASSAULT WEAPON is of course FULLY AUTOMATIC which is already illegal. This isn’t good enough for Democrats; They want to ban all SEMI-AUTOMATICS that in any way resemble an actual assault weapon.

Benghazigate

The resignation of David Petraeus is nothing more than one, of several coordinated moves to push any meaningful investigation into the events of Benghazi well into the future.

The Obama administration knows full well that they can delay and obstruct the truth, reassign key personnel with important information to positions and locations that hinder any meaningful investigation until the public interest wanes. As the public loses interest, it also takes the pressure off Congress from getting to the bottom of things.”

They know they can get away with this because that is exactly how they got away with “Fast and Furious”.   In case you’re a part of the public that has already forgotten, Fast & Furious is the name given to the government operated gun running operation from the U.S. into Mexico that got a whole lot of people killed.

The timing of this “inappropriate relationship” and resignation of David Petraeus is beyond coincidental, and the operation much too big for this to be merely coincidental.”

It’s obvious there is an exceptional cover-up campaign taking place.   All roads lead to Benghazi, and this cover-up is exponentially bigger than anything we’ve seen in Watergate and the Iran-Contra Affair combined. The American people are being lied to at every turn, and the Obama administration has become emboldened by the election results and a disinterested media.”

Quite frankly, I’m not nearly as concerned about the marital infidelity of politicians and/or Generals as I am about dead ambassadors, dead Navy SEALs, dead Border Patrol agents and dying liberty.

Here are a few questions I sure would like to see answered.
  • How long before September 11, 2012 was it known they needed added security in Benghazi?
  • Why were Ambassador Steven's many requests for security denied?
  • Was the White House aware the Consulate had been under surveillance even up until the morning of September 11, 2012?
  • How long into the attack was it before they identified the terrorist group who was attacking?
  • Was there a direct order from the White House telling Marines and C-130s to stand down during the attack?
  • Did the CIA Annex only a mile away from the Consulate tell those security officers repeatedly to stand down and not help?
  • Was one of the security officers using a laser designator to point out to all that were watching where they needed back up support?
  • Did the security officer use Morse code into the drone's camera to tell how many attackers there were, where they were coming from, where the mortars were being fired from, and where they needed backup support to strike?
  • How many hours was it from the time the first American was killed until the fourth American was killed?
  • Why was the Counter-terrorism Security Group (CSG) not notified the night of the attack when they were created to respond to these very instances?
  • Why did they choose to send the FBI for the investigation who didn't get there for 24 days rather than the Foreign Emergency Support Team (FEST) who was created to carry out investigations after terrorist attacks?
  • Why did the White House, State Department, CIA, and others continue to avoid calling it a terrorist attack weeks after Sept. 11 when it was reported they knew it was a terrorist attack within minutes of the start?
  • Were Obama's Campaign Advisers who do not have security clearance: Valerie Jarrett, Robert Gibbs, David plouffe, or David Axelrod in any of the security briefings, and were they apart of the decision process?
  • Did the Obama Administration avoid a response to the terrorist attack to avoid bad publicity before the election?
