THE ALMIGHTY DICTATOR IN CHIEF

President Obama passed a document, a back door amnesty titled, “Maximizing Public Safety and Better Focusing Resources,” while suing Arizona and Alabama because they are enforcing immigration laws already on the books. As a DHS official said with a straight face, “This case-by-case approach will enhance public safety.”

The plenary power of the U.S. Congress allows for passage of laws, levy of taxes, wage wars and hold in custody those who offend against its laws.

Under the Plenary Power Doctrine, Congress has the power to make immigration policy free from judicial review. This doctrine was established at the end of the nineteenth century. The Supreme Court declared that Congress had “plenary power” to regulate immigration, Indian tribes, and newly acquired territories.
Congress makes laws and the President executes those laws.  The President is Suppose to be a constitutional law scholar, so one would think that he would know that he cannot simply assume the power to himself to decide who comes into the country and who gets to stay. When we are trying to deliver quality education, health care, and other services to our citizens in a depressed economy, the notion that the president can let foreigners into our country at will and treat them equally with citizens, makes the president’s discretion unlimited.  In other words, it makes him a self proclaimed dictator.

Our borders are out of control, our resources are strained, yet this administration is saying that millions of aliens are staying and states must provide for their free education, healthcare, employment, and housing.

The message to illegal immigrants is that if you get in, your chances of being deported are zero. We now have unlimited immigration, limited only by the number of people who are trying to come in.

The ability of our society to provide any kind of quality of life and services to future generations of Americans is uncertain. There are 25 million unemployed looking for jobs right now, out of a labor force of approximately 125 million people, that is 20% unemployment, not the reported 9 percent. Jobs should be freed by deporting people who are here illegally.

We are a nation of immigrants and I cannot blame those who want to come here to have a better life, but there is a legal process to do so. Breaking the laws of our country is not the right way to do it. There are social and financial consequences to a blanket amnesty program:

• diminishes the legal citizenship process
• illegal aliens jump to the head of the line, at the expense of those who had to wait, spend money, and valuable time pursuing legal immigration
• takes away jobs from Americans at a time when we have high unemployment
• strains emergency medical services and bankrupts small hospitals (illegal immigrants use emergency rooms for regular doctor visits such as sniffles instead of a regular doctor whose fees would be much smaller but not free)
• depletes education funds, Social Security funds, housing funds, welfare funds, food stamps fund
• increases criminality (gangs and those who come here with nefarious intent)
• spreads unchecked diseases especially through unvaccinated children in school
• allows terrorists to enter freely into the United States

This administration is hiding behind the banner of “prosecutorial discretion.”  Each case must be judged on a case-by-case basis.  Do we have the resources to do so when these people have broken the law by coming into the country illegally? There are different levels of criminality indeed, but once you break a law, you are a criminal.  Crossing the border of any country illegally, whether for economic reasons or nefarious reasons, is a crime.  Most countries, including Mexico, have serious punishments and immediate deportation for the offenders who cross their borders illegally.  In fact, Mexico has MUCH tougher immigration laws than the U.S.

There are no limits now to the Executive branch’s authority to give out green cards to millions of new voters.   I realize that all Presidents abuse the power of the executive order but never before has the Executive branch said indirectly to Congress and the American people that their wishes do not matter.  This amnesty act had already been before Congress, and they rejected it.  Why should Congress bother to pass laws if the President is going to ignore them? Limitless, un-reviewed authority to run immigration policies outside of Congress’ authority is nothing less than tyranny.  The rule of law must not be ignored or self-determination as a nation no longer exists.   Existing immigration laws of the land must be enforced.

Oh by the way, have you seen the news reports about a case involving an illegal immigrant from Kenya by the name of Onyango Obama?  He was arrested last week after he almost struck a police cruiser with his SUV.

The incident allegedly occurred in Framingham, Massachusetts.  Coincidentally, according to the Washington Times, the 67-year old Obama is being represented by the same lawyer who represented Barack Obama’s illegal alien aunt Zeituni Obama who is still living in the United States.

Corporations can only gain revenue by selling things or services that people want; and only make a profit if they sell these things for more than they cost to produce.  In the process they give employment to people who prefer that job to any other they can find.  Therefore, profit-making Corporations create wealth for their customers, Stockholders, and employees. (NOTE: The major stockholders in most large corporations are pension funds and 401Ks)  Corporations take wealth from no one.  So why do liberals have such a problem with capitalism?

Another thing about liberals; they are always wanting to increase the tax rates on corporations. I have two problems with that.

(1)  – The United States already has the highest corporate tax rate of all the industrialized nations.  (NOTE: Japan did have the highest, but realizing the mistake, they lowered it)   

(2)    – No mater how much you tax corporations, they do not pay those taxes.  They simple pass it along to their customers by adding it to the price of goods or services which they sell.  Liberals just don’t get it.  They think raising corporate tax rates is a way to soak the rich, but ironically, they are actually raising the tax on themselves and on you and I.

In 1876 Thomas Edison opened a laboratory in New Jersey, for the purposes of exploring how to produce and distribute electricity.  History records that he invented the incandescent electric light bulb there.  By 1890, he had established the Edison General Electric Company, now know simply as GE.  General Electric was for many years an “all American” company. 


That was then, and this is now.  Since Jeffery Immelt took over as CEO in 2001, GE has shed 34,000 jobs in the U.S. but it has added 25,000 jobs overseas.  Under Immelt, GE has shipped tens of thousands of good jobs out of the United States.  At the end of 2009, GE employed 36,000 more people abroad than it did in the U.S. In 2000, it was nearly the opposite.”

Even the very liberal Huffington Post reported that “As the administration struggles to prod businesses to create jobs at home, GE has been busy sending them abroad.”

The last GE factory in the U.S. that made light bulbs closed last September. This came on the heels of the federal government’s ban on the 100-watt incandescent light bulb and its push to require Americans to purchase the new CFL light bulbs as part of Obama’s green jobs initiative. The CFL bulbs have been universally denounced as providing less equivalent light, costing more, and using mercury as part of their manufacture.

When John Rice was appointed GE’s head of global operations, responsible for growth in markets that include China, India, the Middle East and Brazil, the Huffington Post revealed that GE planned to spend $500 million on research and development and new customer innovation centers in China, adding more than a thousand jobs there. “More than $1.5 billion is expected to be put toward joint ventures with Chinese state-owned enterprises in high-technology sectors.”

In February 2009, Immelt was appointed as a member to the President’s Economic Recovery Board to provide the president and his administration with advice and counsel in fixing America's economic downturn.  Then on January 21, 2011, President Obama announced Immelt's appointment as chairman of his outside panel of economic advisers.  
   
So, you get the picture, Immelt is suppose to be one of the top dogs when it comes to creating jobs in THIS country.  Instead he is moving jobs out of this country and creating them everywhere else.

That’s not all.  GE is also arming China to compete with Boeing—and America.  General Electric plans to sell its aircraft electronics to Chinese companies.   China just flight-tested a prototype stealth fighter as it continues to build up its military and GE is selling technology “it developed for the Military and U.S. companies like Boeing to Boeing’s Chinese competitors.”

America is being de-industrialized at lightning speed and very few of our politicians seem to care.   In 1979 there were 19.5 million manufacturing jobs in the United States and today there are 11.6 million.  The United States has lost a staggering 32% of all its manufacturing jobs since the year 2000.

While Jeffrey Immelt flies around in his corporate jet and issues vacuous, hypocritical statements about jobs for Americans, he and his close friend in the White House are undermining the economy.

I realize that the U.S. corporate tax is the highest in the world and will remain so as long as Obama is in office, but GE doesn’t pay taxes anyway because Immelt has a buddy in the White House.  And even if they did, don’t you think this is a bit hypocritical considering Immelt is supposed to be our “jobs czar”.

Here’s something I wish someone would explain to me.  This administration will not allow any company to relocate from a “mandatory union state” to a “right to work state”, but they have no problem with relocating to another country.  

This looks to me like a deliberate destruction of the U.S. manufacturing sector.

BROKEN ARROW — President Barack Obama alone is to blame for the nation’s budget deficit – and just about everything else, U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe told the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday.

“We now have a president, and I don’t mean this disrespectfully, who is destroying these very institutions that made America great,” Inhofe, R-Okla., said.

Inhofe went on to say the Obama administration has “disarmed America,” is solely responsible for the federal budget deficit, mostly responsible for the nation’s dependence on imported oil and suffocating business with regulations.

He also said Obama engineered the House Republicans’ ban on earmarks in order to give himself more control of the budget.

“When they came along with this moratorium, you have to let the president run everything,” Inhofe said. “They conceded that authority to the president of the United States, so that’s why the president was behind the whole earmark thing."

Inhofe said the earmark ban allowed the administration to block a new $10 million control tower scheduled for Tinker Air Force Base.

He said military spending, as a share of gross domestic product, has declined during the Obama administration and criticized unflattering descriptions of the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where terror suspects are held, saying, “You know the biggest problem for prisoners when they get to Gitmo? Obesity."

Inhofe said the idea that prisoners have been tortured there was invented by Obama and others “to make you think something bad is happening in America — the same thing he does and others do when they go around talking about how bad America is."

Inhofe said the deficit is Obama’s fault because “it’s the president’s budget. Period. That’s the end of it."

He said the recent debt limit agreement is a sham that does little or nothing to reduce overall spending. One solution, he continued, would be to repeal the health-care reform law, which he said is an example of “social engineering” designed to make Americans more dependent on the federal government.

Inhofe also cited extended unemployment benefits, saying he saw no reason for them in Oklahoma because the state has “virtually full employment."

Inhofe laid out a long list of regulatory steps he said would cost taxpayers and employers billions of dollars in taxes and lost productivity, and said the country could be “totally independent from the Middle East in a matter of weeks, not years,” if the administration allowed unfettered oil and gas development on public lands.

She recently said "I'm not afraid of anybody. ... And as far as I'm concerned, the tea party can go straight to hell."  Yeah you guessed it, it’s Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif.

Her list of insults, vulgarities and blame-whitey scapegoating easily makes her the Al Sharpton of Congress.

She once said of the then-sitting president: "I would like to ... say ... very clearly that I believe George (H.W.) Bush is a racist." She routinely refers to the Republican Party as "the enemy." She also referred to Republican former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan as a "plantation owner."

She called the 1992 Los Angeles riots a "rebellion," and bellowed, "No justice, no peace!" She defended looters: "There were mothers who took this as an opportunity to take some milk, to take some bread, to take some shoes. Maybe they shouldn't have done it, but the atmosphere was such that they did it. They are not crooks." Waters said: "One lady said her children didn't have any shoes. She just saw those shoes there, a chance for all of her children to have new shoes. Goddamn it! It was such a tear-jerker. I might have gone in and taken them for her myself."

In 1973, the former Black Panther Joanne Chesimard shot and killed a New Jersey state trooper. Found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison, Chesimard escaped from a New Jersey penitentiary and fled to Cuba. Congress passed a resolution urging Castro to extradite her to this country. But Waters wrote Castro a letter, urging him to keep the "persecuted ... political activist" and likened the cop killer to Martin Luther King, since Chesimard had been "persecuted for her civil rights work"!

Waters wrote a foreword for a book, "Dark Alliance," that accused the CIA of playing a prominent role in the Los Angeles area drug trade. Never mind that practically every major newspaper -- The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post -- all examined and rejected the charge. She even pressured former CIA director John Deutch into coming to Los Angeles to explain the CIA's alleged role. During a town hall meeting, Waters bellowed, "If I never do anything else in this career as a member of Congress, I am going to make somebody pay for what they have done to my community and to my people!"

Waters' concern for the drug epidemic affecting "my people" apparently begins and ends with town hall meetings. In the '90s, a joint federal and local Houston DEA task force pursued cocaine-dealing allegations of James Prince, a childhood friend of Maxine Waters' husband. Waters wrote a letter to then-Attorney General Janet Reno calling the investigation racially motivated, and demanded an end to the probe. She succeeded. This infuriated local DEA agents, one of whom later publicly stated: "The Justice Department in Washington turned their backs on a good agent and a good investigation. It appears the object was to get them to stop their investigation, and it appears that worked."

Waters rarely sees a white officer/black suspect encounter she cannot turn into a racial episode. In the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, a white police officer slammed a black youth on his car and later punched the youth because, according to the officer, the teen grabbed the officer's genitals.

Why, shades of Rodney King, according to Waters, who said: "I don't see white police officers slamming the heads of little white boys into police cars. I haven't seen them abusing white males. What I see is white police officers abusing black males, and young black males particularly. Yes, I believe it's racially motivated." Note: Inglewood, a town of over 100,000 people, consists of nearly all black and Hispanic residents. This automatically makes any white officer involved in a scuffle with practically any Inglewood suspect a target of accusations of racial discrimination and police brutality.

The congresswoman can dish it out, but what happens when people fight back? When an anonymous letter claimed that the Los Angeles Police Commission president, at a meeting, called her a "bitch," Waters went ballistic. She unsuccessfully demanded his resignation: "If it is all right for the Police Commission president to call a congresswoman a bitch, is it all right for police officers on the street to call women bitches?"

Waters currently faces an investigation by the House ethics committee. She phoned then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson in 2008, asking his office to meet with minority bank owners. He complied. But most of the bankers in attendance were from OneUnited Bank -- a bank in which Waters' husband owned shares and on whose board he once served. OneUnited asked for a special bailout, and three months later, it received $12 million. The basis of the House ethics inquiry is why Waters failed to disclose to Paulson her personal financial interest in the bank bailout.

Waters' tea party attack once again exposes her as one of the most racist, hateful and vulgar members of Congress -- prompting Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum to call her "vile." He was far too kind.

WHO’S THE DUMMY NOW?

When George Bush was president, democrats were constantly implying he was dumb. They were always putting a spin on something he said to make it sound like he was an idiot.  It isn’t necessary to do so with Obama.  His track record speaks for it’s self. 

He campaigned on lofty ideals and vague words (“hope,’’ of course, being most notable).  Americans want presidents that get results, and suddenly the idealists who flocked to his campaign in 2008 are now having a serious case of buyer’s remorse. 


In 2008, Obama was hailed as a genius, a "first rate intellect," the smartest man to ever be president.  This is the same political genius who shed 30 points in his first year in office. 
This is the same political genius who blew up his coalition in his first months in office. 

This is the same political genius who led his party to annihilation in the 2010 midterms (while showing utter indifference to the fate of congressional Democrats), and gave the Republicans -- who were down and nearly out -- more than they needed to come roaring back with a vengeance.

This is the same political genius whose rating in a recent Rasmussen “Presidential Index” has hit a new low. He is at Minus 26, that’s a 56-point swing from the Plus 30 he registered after his first full day in office.


This is the same policy genius whose stimulus stimulated only the deficit, whose health care "success" helped kill off his recovery, and whose efforts to create jobs all fell flat. 

Almost forty percent of the new jobs that were created happened under Perry in Texas.

Based on results, Perry has been much more successful as governor of Texas than Obama has been as president, or as anything else he has ever tried being, in the entire whole course of his life.

Liberals who fault the state of Texas for its low levels of taxes (no sate income tax) and spending might ask themselves why, if it’s such a hellhole, do so many people go there and choose to stay there.  My guess would be they are fleeing states ruled by Democrats, which have high taxes, a strong union presence and a rich array of the programs that Democrats love.

My biggest fear is that Obama may win a second term anyhow, because there is a big difference between being "too dumb to govern," and being "too dumb to win."  This is a fact proven by both Obama and Carter.

GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS

THE GOOD NEWS IS, OBAMA WILL BE DEFETED IN A LANDSLIDE IF HE DOESN’T STEAL THE ELECTION.   
THE BAD NEWS IS, HE FULLY INTENDS TO STEAL THE ELECTION.

Two stories in the news recently prove my point.  First is the voter ID requirement which Republicans are in favor of and Democrats are opposed to.  Seven states so far this year have enacted new laws requiring voters to show photo ID at the polls. Ohio and Pennsylvania are considering similar requirements, and several other states already have them on the books.  In my opinion, it should be a federal law.

What the hell is wrong with requiring a person to prove he is who he says he is.  You can’t cash a check, get a drivers licensee, board an airplane, sign up for social security, sign up for food stamps, and a whole raft of other activities without showing a photo ID.

The real reason democrats are opposed to voter ID should be obvious to anyone with half a brain.

The second story I am referring to is of course, amnesty for illegal aliens.  Democrats are pulling out all the stops in an attempt to make all illegal aliens legal registered voters.

It failed in the Republican controlled house, but they fully intend to bypass congress.  On August 18, 2011 Janet Napolitano announced that anyone entering America illegally could stay, by announcing that immigration status would no longer be criteria for deportation unless a crime is committed.  More criminals will coming here, but don’t expect Holder to notice.

This was just the first step, by the time November 2012 rolls around they will be registered voters.  And in most states, no ID required.

Now the entire world is welcome here with no visa, nor passport required; just walk across the border and pick what fruits remain of what once was America.  Our numbers of suffering unemployed citizenry will expand as another army of illegal (whatever that means anymore) workers invades, to further deplete our wages, send even more dollars out of this country, and raise the unemployment rate to new highs.

There is no doubt that Obama is intentionally destroying America, there is a three year train-wreck of evidence pointing to it.   Obama’s next bombshell will probably come around Christmas when we are distracted; historically that is when he sneaks in his most abhorrent policies.  And, as usual the left-wing Soros-funded media will euphemize what will be an act of blatant electioneering.  Some official in his administration will announce that a Tax ID card will serve as proof of residency and eligibility to vote.

He is going to steal the election in plain sight.

Iraqi Drug Gang Smashed by Cops in California

Many of the suspects fled their homeland after being threatened by al-Qaeda and other extremists, and some are suspected of being affiliated with the Chaldean Organized Crime Syndicate, an Iraqi gang based in Detroit, home to the nation's largest Chaldean community. During the last 20 years, Mexican immigrant smugglers helped many of the Chaldeans reach the United States.

Federal authorities are warning several state and local police departments about the increased drug trafficking activity of Iraqi nationals now living in the United States.

Police officers near San Diego, California, on Thursday nabbed more than 50 members of an Iraqi gang of drug traffickers who were operating out of a social club in El Cajon, CA.

The El Cajon Police Department on Friday announced their apprehension of dozens of alleged drug traffickers, linked to an Iraqi-American gang. The police dragnet, dubbed "Operation Shadowbox," targeted the Iraqi social club in the southern California town.

Many of the suspects fled their homeland after being threatened by al-Qaeda and other extremists, and some are suspected of being affiliated with the Chaldean Organized Crime Syndicate, an Iraqi gang based in Detroit, home to the nation's largest Chaldean community.

Police were tipped off by the social club's neighbors and some of the club members' spouses became informants about the Iraqis' criminal activity.

After years of investigation, police raided the social club and during the arrest and subsequent search discovered evidence of "attempted murder, methamphetamine and marijuana sales, sale of diverted pharmaceuticals, gambling, illegal liquor sales, and illegal sales of firearms." 

Local police officers and special agents with the Drug Enforcement Administrations Mobile Enforcement Team (DEA/MET) also uncovered evidence linking the Iraqi gang members' activities to the Mexico-based Sinaloa Cartel as well as Iraqi gangs in Detroit, Michigan.

The Sinaloa Cartel is bloodier and more powerful that most of the drug gangs in the U.S.

It controls cocaine trafficking on the Mexican border with California, and is expanding eastward to the corridor between Sonora and Arizona and waging a fierce battle for Chihuahua state bordering Texas.
During the the social club raid police officers and DEA agents discovered more than $630,000 in U.S. currency, street narcotics and prescription controlled substances including Mexican-made methamphetamine, MDMA, Vicodin, Oxycontin, Codeine, Xanex, and Percocet, cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine, and marijuana, firearms and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

According to a statement by El Cajon's Police Chief Pat Sprecco, "Several identified subjects in this investigation have lengthy criminal histories including controlled substance possession and distribution, grand theft auto, burglary, resisting arrest, possession of dangerous weapons and battery. As the investigation continues, additional members of the Iraqi [drug trafficking organization] are expected to be identified and arrested."

During the last 20 years, Mexican immigrant smugglers helped many of the Chaldeans reach the United States. The descendants of the ancient inhabitants of Mesopotamia -- what is now Iraq -- came to the West to escape Muslim persecution of Christian Iraqis.

About half of the suspects face federal charges and the other half face California state charges. A number of them are illegal immigrants but federal immigration agents would not say whether or not the illegal alien Iragis will be deported.

I AM NOT A CROOK

How Obama has enhanced the legacy of all previous presidents. 


The video of Nixon proclaiming “I am not a crook” and the one of Clinton proclaiming “I did not have sex with that woman” are both events that will live in infamy.   Jimmy Carter has always been considered by most informed Americans to be as the worst president in American history.  They are all three now off the hook.

I need not spend much time on the failure of Obama as president. His tenure has been a failure on every measurable level. So much so, in fact, that some of the staunchest, most respected liberal Democrats and Democratic supporters have not only openly criticized him – some almost as harshly as I have – but they have called for him to step down.

Nixon lied in an attempt to protect his crew that actually committed the crime, and Clinton lied in an attempt to save his own butt.  I totally agree that there are no excuses for doing what they did, but I do understand their rationales for lying.  As for Carter, I have always believed he tried his best.  He simply wasn’t cut out to be POTUS.  He probably should have stuck with peanut farming and stayed out of politics.

But in the case of Obama, he lies because he is a liar. He doesn’t only lie to cover his misdeeds – he lies to get his way.  He lies to belittle others and to make himself look presentable at their expense.  He lies about his faith, his associations, his mother, his father and his wife.  He lies and bullies to keep his background secret.  

Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead, they have been witness to a congenital liar, a woman who has been ashamed of America her entire life, failed policies, intimidation and a commonality hitherto not witnessed in political leaders.  He and his wife view their life at our expense as an entitlement – while America’s people go homeless, hungry and unemployed.

You know that Barack Obama is in trouble when even the Congressional Black Caucus begins to criticize him.  Maxine Waters (D-CA) recently said that the Congressional Black Caucus is “frustrated” with regard to unemployment, a problem that has hit blacks harder than whites. The only thing holding them back from being more vocal, said Waters, was its fear they will lose the support of the black community.

The worst may be yet to come.  Many experts are convinced the “birth certificate” is a fake.  If that is ever proven to be true, it may very well be that he was never eligible for the office in the first place.  Regardless of how that pans out, the legacy of Carter, Nixon, and Clinton will forever pale in comparison to that of Barack Hussein Obama.

A message to those who voted for the worst president, and his Socialist political party, this country will ever have:

They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are even "baby boomers" getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time.

We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were.

We have worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and grown old together. Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill and that is probably true. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration. In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age.

Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don't know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many.

But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. Our fathers won World War II and we fought in Korea and VietNam . We can quote the pledge of allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn't fight for the Socialist States of America , we fought for the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave." We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag. We know the words to the 'Star Spangled Banner', ' America ' , and America the Beautiful' by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing.

We have lived what many have only read about in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for what America has done in all these years .

Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.

It was the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democrat Congress. They fell for the "hope and change" which in reality was nothing but "hype and lies." They have tasted Socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found they don't like it after all.

They have made a lot of noise but most are all too interested in their careers or "climbing the social ladder" to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting.

Many of those who fell for the "great lie" in 2008 are now having buyer's remorse. With all the education we gave them, they didn't have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the kool-aid.

Now they're paying the price and complaining about it.

No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom. This is what they voted for and this is what they got. We entrusted them with the 'Torch of Liberty' and they traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.

Well, don't worry youngsters, the Gray-Haired Brigade is here, and on ELECTION DAY we are going to take back our nation.

We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we're going, and in November we're going to the polls by the millions.

This land does not belong to the liar in the White House or to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid or the Socialist that call themselves Democrats. It belongs to "We the People", and "We the People" plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. We hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to our grandchildren and great grandchildren.

So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the "Gray-Haired Brigade." You will see us at the polls in droves because this may be the last chance to deal with the political sickness in our country....

Obama Skips a Jobs Opportunity and Goes on Vacation

Last night on the nightly news, heart-breaking pictures of the Atlanta job fair sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus showed long lines of thousands of job seekers standing for hours in the heat, eager for a small chance at landing a paycheck, any paycheck. That video was followed immediately by shots of the president arriving on Martha's Vineyard for vacation yesterday afternoon. White House correspondents along for the ride reported from the scene with a harbor full of moored yachts bobbing in the background. Pretty much a PR nightmare.

Don't get me wrong—there's nothing wrong with the president spending time with his wife and children—but with yesterday's panic selling in the stock market after a week of volatile ups and downs, news yesterday that jobless claims are up, and fears about the European debt crisis and now a second U.S. recession ... maybe Martha's Vineyard wasn't the best idea. Going to the beautiful, secluded, wealthy island was the political equivalent of saying "let them eat cake," or in this case, lobster. Earlier this week—even as the Gallup organization announced that a record-low number of Americans (26 percent) approve of the way President Obama is handling the economy—the White House put out statistics about the numbers of vacation days previous presidents had taken. Every president takes vacations, the line went, and this one is no different. With today's technology, he can still be plugged in. True enough. [See photos of the Obamas behind the scenes.]

But previous presidents didn't take those vacations while Americans pulled $23.5 billion out of their 401(k) plans—in just the first ten days of this month. For the first time in my lifetime, the thought of putting cash under the mattress doesn't seem so crazy. In our house, the grandparents have started calling at night, worried about their retirement funds. There's so much uncertainty and fear. [See ups and downs of presidential vacations.]

So many times in life, fear comes when there is a lack of clarity. Not only can we not predict what's going to happen with our economy, there doesn't seem to be a plan. When the headline "Breaking News: Obama to Give Jobs Speech in September" crawled across the TV screen as he headed to the Vineyard, I laughed out loud. [Vote now: Will Obama be a one-term president?]

Here comes another speech sold as a "plan"—believe me, as a speechwriter, I'm all in favor of speeches—but the CBO cannot score a speech. We need legislative proposals to reform entitlements, overhaul the tax code to lower rates, and enact serious spending restraints. And we need them now, not in September. President Obama had an opportunity this week, one he didn't take. Instead, he attacked Congressional Republicans who have gone on the record and voted in favor of overhauling entitlements, closing corporate loopholes, and cutting spending—at great risk to their own political futures—as people who have put politics before the good of the country. And then he left for a luxury vacation. Now he faces a firestorm of criticism from all sides, further cementing the growing impression that his is an insulated, ivory-tower life spent far away from the maddening crowds. He blew it.

Farm subsidies go mostly to only certain crops and activities and mostly to a very select few “farmers” which tend to be huge corporate entities.  Not that there is anything wrong with corporate farms, but shouldn’t the little guy get the same break?

Prepare for your electric rates to go up

AND BE GLAD YOU DIDN’T BUY AN ELECTRIC CAR. 

If you thought your electric bill was high this summer, you aint seen nothing yet.  Under new interpretations of old rules, the EPA will shortly be forcing the shutdown of about 20 percent of coal-generated electric capacity in the United States. Since coal generates about half the electricity demanded in the US, the country will have to find other, more expensive ways of making up about ten percent of electric capacity at a time that the administration wants electric to be the clean fuel of choice.


What the hell is wrong with these people?  In addition to the loss of generating capacity, the Commerce Department estimates that the new rules could kill up to 60,000 jobs, says Heritage, while an industry trade group says that the rules will cost $129 billion, according to the Washington Post.

During the 2008 presidential campaign then-Senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden both claimed that if elected they would institute policies that make it cost prohibitive for coal-fired plants to operate in the United States.   Looks like this is one promise they’ll keep.


“So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can,” Obama told the San Francisco Chronicle in a clip the paper likely tried to suppress, “it’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”

Mike Carey, president of the Ohio Coal Association issued this statement in November 2008 “Senator Obama has revealed himself to be nothing more than a short- sighted, inexperienced politician willing to say anything to get a vote.  But today, the nation's coal industry and those who support it have a better understanding of his true mission, to 'bankrupt' our industry, put tens of thousands out of work and cause unprecedented increases in electricity prices.”

The Standard & Poor's downgrade of U.S. debt is the latest fruit of the Obama administration's big-government policies. Ask Americans how the country is doing, and the response is a vote of no confidence. In August 2009, 34% of likely voters said the country was headed in the right direction. A month ago that proportion had declined to 25%, and last week only 16% thought so. Rasmussen's mid-August poll found that 4% of adults rate the economy as good or excellent, and 66% think we are doing poorly.

Just before his election as president, Barack Obama declared that "we are five days from fundamentally transforming America." He has made good on that promise. Huge increases in federal spending—up 28% in just three years—were the beginning. Putting health care—17% of the American economy—under Washington's control was next. Government control of business is expanding too: 379 new government business rules were added in July alone, according to Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming. Federal government debt held by the public rose from $6 trillion (40% of GDP) in 2008 to $9 trillion (62%) in 2010, The Congressional Budget Office says it could reach 200% by 2037, if the economy doesn't collapse first.

Mr. Obama's original budget for fiscal 2012 would have more than doubled the debt held by the public, from 2010's $9 trillion to $19 trillion in 2021. Politico reports that by the 2013 inauguration, the government will have taken on addition debt to the tune of "$22,500 for every man, woman, and child in the nation" during Mr. Obama's tenure. Some 45 million Americans, or 1 in 7, receive food stamps, up from less than 30 million a few years ago. Finally, in the previous two years our annual economic growth after inflation has averaged only 1.3% annually, just about half our past 10-year average of 2.5%. In the first half of this year, it was running at an annual rate of 0.8%.

The White House says unemployment will decline to 8.25% this year, though it may well remain above 9%. Looking back at the past 50 years, no president has been re-elected when unemployment was higher than 7.2%.

One of the Obama administration's central (and most damaging) beliefs is that tax rates must be raised for what President Obama calls "millionaires and billionaires," which he defines to include individuals and small businesses making as little as $200,000. Interestingly, Christina Romer, who was chairman of Mr. Obama's Council of Economic Advisors, has done some research on the impact of tax increases, and concluded that increasing taxes by 1% of GDP for deficit-reduction purposes leads to a 3% reduction in GDP.

Raising taxes on affluent taxpayers is not just bad economics, it's unfair. The Tax Foundation has pointed out that in 2009 taxpayers earning over $200,000 paid half of all income taxes, even though they had earned just 25% of adjusted gross income. On the other hand, more that 58 million taxpayers, around 42% of tax filers, paid no income tax at all. Add in the money some of them receive in refundable child care tax credits, the Making Work Pay program and the Earned Income Tax Credit, and it is obvious that ratcheting up taxes on higher income taxpayers would just exacerbate this inequity.

Growing dissatisfaction, skyrocketing spending, a weak economy, and a real debate about tax hikes all suggest that the 2012 presidential election will be very different from the 2008 Obama victory. A recent Pew report finds that 41% of voters would like to see Obama re-elected, and 40% would prefer a Republican win in 2012. That one-point Obama lead was down from 11 points in May. The President's approval rating from January through June averaged 47%. Earlier this month, according to Gallup, it fell to 39%. Mr. Obama is unlikely to win re-election unless that number improves.

He faces three major challenge. The first is a rift with business leaders, who resent being scapegoated. They may work hard to raise campaign money for Mr. Obama's opponent.

The second is the increasing disappointment of independent voters, who are rightly unhappy with higher spending, higher taxes, ObamaCare, a lack of progress on trade, increased restrictions on the energy supply, and the near-commandeering of the auto and banking industries, all of which amount to an effort to Europeanize America, just as European welfare states are facing their own crisis.

His latest challenge may well be from Texas Gov. Rick Perry's fresh presidential campaign speech: "The fact is, for nearly three years President Obama has been downgrading American jobs, he's been downgrading our standing in the world, he's been downgrading our financial stability, he's been downgrading our confidence and downgrading the hope for a better future for our children. That's a fact." Indeed it is, and it's a fact that bodes ill for the future of America.

A spokeswoman with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) described the new policy as “blanket amnesty.”

“Having failed in the legislative process, the Obama administration has simply decided to usurp Congress’s constitutional authority and implement an amnesty program for millions of illegal aliens,” FAIR President Dan Stein said. “This step by the White House amounts to a complete abrogation of the president’s duty to enforce the laws of the land and a huge breach of the public trust. ... In essence, the administration has declared that U.S. immigration is now virtually unlimited to anyone willing to try to enter—and only those who commit violent felonies after arrival are subject to enforcement.”

It is part of Obama’s 2012 campaign strategy to mobilize illegal immigrant “voters” as one part of a racially- and ethnically-based coalition supplemented by union thugs and anti-American radicals.

He intends to make the 2012 election a street fight complete with flash mob violence and widespread voter intimidation.

Obama knows that he is no longer restrained by the Constitution and the rule of law because the political establishment and the mainstream media are either complicit or cowardly.

Our government no longer represents us; in fact, it has declared war on us. We are now on our own. We must begin to band together and join forces with the few remaining patriotic leaders to defend ourselves and try to restore Constitutional government and the rule of law.

At the request of tea party leaders in Arizona, famed Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has promised to investigate the validity of Barack Obama’s purported long-form birth certificate in a determination of the president’s eligibility for the county’s 2012 election ballot. (wnd.com)

The petition calls for the sheriff to investigate the possibility that a crime has been committed against the Arizona secretary of state, who must decide whether to put Obama’s name on the ballot.

Arpaio told the tea party leaders the complaint is within his jurisdiction, and he will be forced to investigate. He said he expects political pressure, but he pointed out that as the chief law enforcement officer of Maricopa County, he’s taken an oath to respond to citizens who approach him about enforcing the law.

AND HOW WE ARE BEING SCREWED

The Middle Eastern and African oil cartel, OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) controls 44% of the world’s crude oil production and 79% of the world’s crude oil reserves. Thanks to the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of the Interior, and the Department of Energy, the U.S. is unable to access billions of barrels of oil in Alaska and the continental shelf on both coasts.

This problem isn’t just with oil; it also applies to our coal and natural gas reserves despite the fact that the U.S. has century’s worth of coal and is discovering new reserves of natural gas every day.  And despite the fact that the windmill farms of southern California are killing thousands of birds every year including hundreds of eagles.  Many of which are endangered species.

We have been losing the capacity to refine oil.  According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, in 2009 there were 148 operable refineries, down from 150 and only 137 refineries were actually operating, down from 141. Regulations have ensured that not one new refinery has been built in the U.S. for over three decades.

This is a sad state of affairs, because, The Americas could and should be the OPEC not the Middle East.  Geologists have long known that the Americas are home to plentiful hydrocarbons trapped in hard-to-reach offshore deposits, on-land shale rock, oil sands, and heavy oil formations.  The U.S. endowment of unconventional oil is more than 2 trillion barrels, with another 2.4 trillion in Canada and 2 trillion-plus in South America -- compared with conventional Middle Eastern and North African oil resources of 1.2 trillion.

The problem was always how to unlock them economically, but for the most part, that problem has been solved.  With the help of horizontal drilling and other innovations, shale gas production in the United States has skyrocketed from virtually nothing to 15 to 20 percent of the U.S. natural gas supply in less than a decade.  By 2040, it could account for more than half of it.  This tremendous change in volume has turned the conversation in the U.S. natural gas industry on its head; we were once concerned about meeting our country's natural gas needs, soon we may worry about finding buyers for the surplus.


Oil production from shale rock, a technically complex process of squeezing hydrocarbons from sedimentary deposits, is just beginning, and analysts are predicting production of as much as 1.5 million barrels a day in the next few years from resources beneath the Great Plains and Texas alone -- the equivalent of 8 percent of current U.S. oil consumption.  If and when drilling is resumed in the Gulf of Mexico, analysts expect an additional 1 to 2 million barrels a day from there.

Brazil is believed to have the capacity to pump 2 million barrels a day from "pre-salt" deepwater resources, deposits of crude found more than a mile below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean that until the last couple of years were technologically inaccessible. Similar gains are to be had in Canadian oil sands, where petroleum is extracted from tarry sediment in open pits.

Oil-thirsty China has recognized the energy potential of the Americas, and they are investing billions in Canada, the United States, and Latin America.  The bottom line is, we have plenty of oil and gas, if the government would just let us produce it.
