WARNING

We are on a slippery slope headed for an outright dictatorship.  We are getting there so fast; sometimes I have to wonder if there will even be an election in November.
I don’t know how I can make it any clearer than that.

Hardly a week goes by without this President issuing an executive order that takes away some of our freedoms bit by bit, and gives more power to the federal government bit by bit.  I send out emails and I post blogs warning people about what is happening, and apparently, nobody is reading them.

There is a new bill in Congress (Senate Bill 1813), which was passed by the Senate last week and is expected to pass in the house. This bill is called the (Highway trust fund bill), but if you read it, you will see it’s loaded with things having absolutely nothing to do with highway funding.

For example; there is a provision that would allow the government to suspend your travel outside the country if you are accused or suspected of owing taxes to the IRS.

There is no requirement that the tax payer be guilty of or even charged with tax evasion, fraud, or any criminal offense - only that the citizen is alleged to owe the IRS back taxes of $50,000 or more.
Officially called the “Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act,” or “MAP-21,” this bill goes WAY BEYOND anything to do with highway safety. If it passes, it could give the IRS the power to:
  • Accuse Americans of delinquency of tax payment without due process
  • Revoke their passports and travel rights
  • Place the accused in a centralize database
  • Place the accused on the NO FLY LIST
Does that sound familiar? I’m sure you’ve heard of the government’s “No-Fly” List — but that’s supposed to be for TERRORISTS! So now, if you’re accused of owing back taxes, you’re placed on an international “no-fly list,” meaning… YOU’RE NO BETTER THAN A DOMESTIC TERRORIST!

BUT THEY DON’T STOP THERE! If you’re placed on this IRS “no-fly list”…
THE IRS WOULD THEN HAVE THE AUTHORIZATION TO STOP YOU FROM BUYING A GUN IN AMERICA!

Don’t believe it? Former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel infamously bragged to the Brady Center that the “no-fly” list would be used to bar citizens from rightfully purchasing firearms, putting travelers who’ve received no due process or been charged with any crime on a binding “no-buy” gun list.

So no, you’re not going to find any specific passage in this nearly 2,000-page monstrosity of a bill that says, “the government can take away your Second Amendment rights.” As one reporter writes:
“… the key to understanding the eventual consequences of the powers the IRS is given in the new law is what is implied in the bill, not what is specified.
For example, in order for the IRS to carry out its mandate to revoke the passports of citizens who owe at least $50,000 in back taxes, the agency would have to enter such persons in a national database so that any time a ‘prohibited person’ applies for a passport, that individual would be flagged for a denial.
And this is the thing that has citizens’ rights groups up in arms. The government already has ‘no fly’ lists that prohibit certain persons from air travel. Critics say that the government could easily use such lists to deny Second Amendment rights to those who find themselves on the lists.”

So, here’s the round-about way that the government is working to take away our Second Amendment rights: those who are placed on the “no-fly list” are also added to another list, as potential domestic terrorists. Once on that list, those individuals are no longer allowed to have any guns!

Congress is trying to SNEAK this new IRS power through… by sticking it in a HUGE bill that is supposed to be “to reauthorize Federal-aid highway and highway safety construction programs, and for other purposes.”

WHAT THE HECK DOES A HIGHWAY BILL HAVE TO DO WITH GIVING THE IRS THE POWER TO TAKE AWAY OUR RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS?

As former Congressman Tom Tancredo notes, “No formal charges are required. Simply the accusation from the IRS is sufficed to strip American citizens of their Constitutional rights.”

YOU READ THAT RIGHT: Without ANY right to due process, all that the IRS has to do is simply CLAIM that a citizen owes $50,000 or more in taxes. This accusation ALONE will give the IRS the authority to REVOKE any American’s travel rights — and then remove the right to own a firearm.
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! CONGRESS IS READY TO PASS THIS BILL GIVING THE IRS THE POWER TO VIOLATE OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!

This is NOT A JOKE. As reported in the Daily Economist, “MAP-21″ (S. 1813),
“… contains a provision that would allow the IRS to order the State Department to refuse to grant, refuse to renew, revoke or restrict the passport of any US citizen which the IRS certifies owes the IRS $50,000 or more in unpaid taxes. There is no requirement that the tax payer be guilty of or even charged with tax evasion, fraud, or any criminal offense – only that the citizen is alleged to owe the IRS back taxes of $50,000 or more.”

Did you get that? All that the IRS has to do is ACCUSE you of owing back taxes, and the first thing they can do is take away your passport… and then place you on a centralized database to make sure you can’t go ANYWHERE outside of the United States!

DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.
DO A GOOGLE SEARCH ON SENATE BILL 1813 AND DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
