Trump Hits Back at John Lewis
John Hinderaker
of Powerline takes on the dictate that
Lewis Must Not Be Criticized for his Racist stand against President Elect
Donald Trump.
##########################################################
I am fully aware that
Congressman John Lewis Has been a victim of racism in the past. Back when George Wallace was Governor of
Alabama, he was a leader of the left wing (SNCC) of the Civil Rights Movement. Lewis was savagely beaten on the head by
Alabama State Troopers (under the command of Democrat Governor George Wallace),
and today bears the visible scars.
That was then, and this is
now, and that is no excuse for you to call The President Elect an "illegitimate
president." I would like to remind
Mr. Lewis of a few facts he has conveniently forgotten; my first point is to
remind him that George Wallace was a southern Democrat, and like all southern
Democrats back then (and the majority of them still) he was a lifelong racist,
white supremacists.
Next point; unlike George
Wallace, Trump is a Republican.
Next point; unlike Wallace,
Trump is NOT a racist.
Next point; unlike Wallace,
Trump is NOT, nor has he ever been a member of the KKK.
Next point; you claim Trump’s
Presidency is illegitimate because the Russians, or the FBI, or somebody else
to be named at a later interfered with the election.
Next point; what about
Obama’s interference when he said on national TV that illegal aliens should
vote in the election and it would be OK?
Next point; what about the
fact that it has been proven that at least two million illegal aliens DID in
fact vote in the election?
Next point; what about the
fact that a very large part of Hillary’s campaign came from foreign
Governments?
Mr. Lewis, I have noticed a
pattern in your actions recently and I have come to the conclusion that you are
an overt racist, and therefore unqualified to serve in Congress any longer.
Recently, in Senate testimony on the confirmation of
Sen. Jeff Sessions, you suggested he might be another George Wallace. Again Mr. Lewis, Senator Sessions is NOT a
member of the racist Party, he is a Republican.
In the 2008 Presidential election, you suggested that John
McCain also represented a throwback to George Wallace. Again Mr. Lewis, Senator McCain is NOT a
racist Democrat. He is a Republican.
In the 2012 Presidential election you suggested that
Mitt Romney is a racist by claiming if elected he would bring back segregation. Again Mr. Lewis, Mitt Romney is NOT a racist
Democrat. He is a Republican.
In 2010, you falsely accused tea-party demonstrators
of using the “N-word” during an anti-Obamacare rally at the Capitol. You Sir joined several other members of the
Congressional Black Caucus in claiming that a crowd of thousands of Tea Party
protesters on the steps of Capitol Hill had shouted the “N-word” at them when
they walked through the crowd. That sir
was a lie and everybody knows it.
You even go
after members of your own party. During
the 2016 primaries, you played the race card against Senator Bernie Sanders, for
no other reason other than the fact that he was running against Hillary.
Perhaps your most ridiculous racist rant was from the
floor of the House back in 1995 shortly after Republicans had won House and
Senate majorities on the strength of their “Contract With America”. You Sir had the gall to paraphrase the
anti-Nazi pastor Martin Niemoller’s famous observations about the Nazi
takeover: “They came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I
wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews …etc, etc. Then you
said: “Read the Republican contract. They are coming for the children. They are
coming for the poor. They are coming for the sick, the elderly, and the
disabled.” I know it was a lie. You know it was a lie. I know that you know it was a lie.
