Subject: Spying on Americans
I’ve been giving a lot of thought about the actions of Snowden
(the whistle blower). Many have referred
to him as a 'traitor. OK, I suppose he
is, but the question that lingers in my mind is “a traitor to whom, his
country, or his government”. There IS a
difference. He has shared WHAT the government was doing, but
not the content of what was collected.
Of course, when Dianne Feinstein called the man a
'traitor'...in her mind she was probably accurate; She and her ilk in the
House, Senate and White House probably DO look upon those who do not, at every
turn, rabidly support the 'regime' and their crackpot ideas...as enemies of The
Anointed One.
There may be "laws" on the books prohibiting the
disclosure of information exposing our "government" to criticism. But
do NOT fail to remember, our First Article of Amendments names the right, and
guarantees its perpetuation, for citizens to redress grievances against their
government.
If EVERY citizen who objects to this wholesale warrant-less
and groundless spying and data collection were to stand up and protest, they
MIGHT get the message we are fed up with OUR tax dollars being wasted in
violating our also-guaranteed rights to privacy. It is only the tyrannical who
fear their nefarious plots and actions being exposed.
Remember too, our government is supposed to be ONLY by the
consent of we who are governed. Is THIS
sort of activity consented to by we who are so governed? I rather think not.
If Snowden is a
traitor for leaking "state secrets", then, how about when Obama
leaked about the Israel hackers messing with Iran's nuclear program. Or
when he leaked enough info about the bin Laden hit to get a Pakistani doctor
imprisoned? Isn't that every bit as
treasonous? Or, how about Biden leaking
about SEAL team 6, and Panetta gave top secret info to Hollywood.
I haven’t heard anyone suggest that
they too are traitors.
One last point: I
guess you are aware that Obama’s private army (the NSA) knows that you read
this…I’m just saying…
