STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
I did not watch the
President’s State of the Union address last night.
I had much more important
things I needed to do, like rearranging my sox drawer, or watching
reruns of “storage Wars”.
However, over
the past five years, I've learned many things from watching President Obama,
especially that the majority of the things he says are flat-out lies!
But, I have heard a lot of talk about things he said. One remark he made that absolutely made my blood boil, was that 2014 would be his “Year of Action” and that he was not afraid to side-step Congress with executive actions if necessary.
In 1801, Thomas Jefferson chose to deliver his State of the Union address in writing because he refused to deliver a monarchic "speech from a throne." This tradition would remain intact until Woodrow Wilson reverted to the practice of personally addressing Congress in 1913. For 112 years, U.S. Presidents feared that speaking before congress alone could be perceived as a sort-of monarchic, Presidential overreach...
I am just thankful that Thomas Jefferson and the other Founders were not around to see King Obama chastising Congress yesterday. Never in my life have I seen a President which had such contempt and disdain for our country's Constitutional processes!

I have no
interest in watching ANY of Obama’s speeches anymore because, every time he
speaks, he sounds like he is still on the campaign trail. With his crafted rhetoric, the President is
usually able to convince audiences of his policy proposals. I have just one question though: If 2014 is to
be a "year of action," what should we call the last years?
This was the fifth time that Obama stood before Congress and the American people to outline his vision for the country, and for the first two years of his Presidency, Obama could have passed any bill he wanted. For two whole years, the Democrats controlled the White House and both chambers of Congress. The fact is that Barack Obama squandered his first years in office. he assumed that he would have all the time in the world to pass his socialist agenda. Remember... He was the "chosen one," after all!
Yet, “we the people” threw Obama a curve ball by putting Republicans in charge of the House of Representatives and making the President a lame duck just two years into his first term in office.
The President is just as disillusioned as the career-voters who put him in office in the first place. Obama actually believes that receiving 51.01% of the popular vote constitutes a "mandate" and is warrants turning the Presidency into dictatorship. What Obama hasn’t quite gotten into his head is that no amount of popularity is enough to side-step the Constitution!

you all by yourself, but your Congressman and your Senators can. And they will if you would just take the time
to call and/or email them and ask them to put an end to this unconstitutional

When the government begins to open fire on protesters, the people are
left with a choice: do they retreat, or do they fight?
No, this isn’t happening in the United States. This is
happening in the Ukraine. (But if things continue on the current trend,
it may soon be happening in the U.S.) You see, in this large former Soviet Republic, there is a battle brewing over the country’s culture
and direction. Roughly half of the
country wants to continue to ally itself with Moscow, while the other half has turned to the West and the
European Union.
The growing street protests have led the Ukrainian government to
suspend some civil rights, which has only intensified the standoff between the
westward-leaning protesters and Russia’s allies in government. You won’t see it in the news all that much,
but Ukraine is on the brink of war.
Because of the violent protests, the Ukraine Prime Minister has
resigned, and the President may be forced to do the same.
What does this have to do with what is going on in the United States?

The social scientists say that the United States is more politically polarized today than the country was during the civil war. Just last week the Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, said that if you are pro-life, pro-second amendment, and pro-family values, you're a Conservative extremist who has "no place in the State of New York."

Obama has attacked Conservative groups, using the IRS to hamper Conservatives' right to free speech.
He has done everything in his power to disarm you and stop you from defending your family and defending your country.
He has implemented domestic spying programs that ILLEGALLY target American citizens and violate their privacy without cause!
He has used his military power to kill and torture American citizens abroad without even charging them with a crime!
If you don't buy into Obama's health law, his excessive fines will absolutely cripple you! And unless you're one of the President's cronies, there is no relief in sight!
And when you try to preserve Conservatism at the State level, the Federal government comes in and violates your rights again!

It’s interesting that McCain could spend as much time as he has attacking Republicans over the last year, and then swoop away to spend some serious “me-time” with Soros who doesn’t seem as disgusted by McCain as he is every other Republican. There must be a good reason for that…

ObamaCare Update
The Obama Regime Just Admitted That
ObamaCare Could Bankrupt Insurance Companies... And Quite Possibly, The
Country.
It should have been a front-page story, but the Obama-media sat on a document that was just released, oh-so-quietly, by the Obama Regime's Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Jim Angle with Fox News reports: "[T]he administration released documents... saying the problems with the website puts 'the entire health insurance industry at risk' ... 'potentially leading to their default and disrupting continued services and coverage to consumers.'"
And the HHS document went on to say that the problems with the website "will result in financial harm to the government" and "the entire health care reform program is jeopardized."
The statements in the HHS document bear repeating because problems with ObamaCare are not simply confined to the website.
ObamaCare is riddled with problems, and our government will never tire of telling us that each and every problem "will result in financial harm to the government" and jeopardize "the entire health care reform program" and these problems can only be resolved by allowing the government to dig even deeper in our pockets.
Let's face facts, the HHS admission that "the ENTIRE health insurance industry [is] at risk" is an omen of things to come because the problem with ObamaCare is not that it was designed to fail, but rather, that it was designed to fail OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Each and every ObamaCare failure will necessitate another bailout and each and every bailout will open the door to even more failures... and the vicious circle will only continue to perpetuity.
It took most of the nation's social welfare programs generations to reach insolvency but ObamaCare is starting out in insolvency: That means it could, quite literally, ultimately break the bank.

Prognosis Is Being Confirmed In Other Circles As Well.
As a matter of fact, Aetna's CEO Mark Bertolini hinted last Wednesday that Aetna could be forced to make coverage totally unaffordable or pull out of ObamaCare altogether.
Speaking of the massive and spiraling costs - costs that will be passed on to you in one form or another - of sustaining this dying white elephant, Bertolini said:
"Are they going to be double-digit [increases] or are we [Aetna] going to get beat up because they're double-digit; or are we just going to have to pull out of the program? ... Those questions can't be answered until we see the population we have today. And we really don't have a good view on that."
And just because Bertolini posed the question, don't believe for one moment that he doesn't ALREADY know the answer or that he's the only CEO who realizes what's coming.
Moreover, don't believe, for even the blink of an eye, that these problems won't affect you if you're not in a government-controlled exchange (although you eventually will be if Barack Obama and Harry Reid get their way).
Just as Ronald Reagan said that a rising tide lifts all boats; we say to you now that EVERYONE on a sinking ship with no lifeboats dies.
Perhaps that's why Moody's, one of the top-rated credit agencies in the world, just downgraded the ENTIRE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY on Thursday to "negative" based on the failed ObamaCare rollout.
Oh yes, it s true. The Washington Times reports that Moody's "downgraded its outlook for U.S. health care insurers from 'stable' to 'negative,' citing uncertainty stemming from ObamaCare."
The problem with ObamaCare is not that it's going to fail... IT HAS ALREADY FAILED and we need to cut the cord to the life-preserver and let it drown because IT WILL KEEP FAILING.
Congress CAN repel ObamaCare, but they won’t unless they here from enough of their constituents. Has YOUR congressman and Senators heard from you?

The Affordable Golf Club Act
The Obama administration has passed a new
law titled: "The Affordable Golf Club Act" declaring that
every citizen must purchase a new set of golf clubs, before April 2014.
This law has been passed,
because until now, typically only the wealthy or financially responsible have
been able to purchase new golf clubs without the assistance of their
government.
This new law ensures that
every American can now have "affordable" golf clubs of their own,
because everyone is equally entitled to new golf clubs. And if you want to keep
the golf clubs you already have, you can do that, until April 2014.
These affordable golf
clubs will cost from $1,000 to $3,000 each depending on your income level. This
does not include taxes, pull cart, electric cart fees, green fees, membership
fees, balls, tees, gloves, range finders, storage fees, maintenance, or repair
costs.
In order to make sure everyone participates and purchases their affordable golf
clubs, the costs of owning golf clubs will increase 50% each year up to 400% by
year 2018. This way, wealthy people will pay more for something that other
people don't want or can't afford to maintain. People who can't afford or
refuse to maintain their golf clubs will be fined. However, children under the
age of 26 can use their parents’ golf clubs until they turn 27 at which time
they must purchase their own golf clubs.
If you don't want or
think you don't need golf clubs, you are still required to buy them. If you
refuse to buy a set or make claims that you can't afford them, you will be
fined $800 until you purchase a set or face imprisonment.
People living in farming
areas, ghettos, inner cities, Wyoming, or areas with no access to golf courses are not exempt.
Age, health, prior experience or no experience are not acceptable excuses for
not buying, maintaining, and using your golf clubs.
A government review board
that doesn't know the difference between a hook and a slice will decide
everything. This includes when, where, how often and for what purposes you can
use your golf clubs along with how many people can ride in your golf cart. The
board will also determine if participants are too old or not healthy enough to
be able to use their golf clubs.
They will also decide if
your golf clubs have outlived their usefulness or if you must purchase specific
accessories, like a range finder with slope adjustment or a newer and more
expensive set of golf clubs.
Those that can afford
memberships at expensive golf country clubs will be required to buy
memberships. If you are already a member and you like your membership you can
keep your membership. After April 2014, a different country club will be
assigned for you to purchase a membership.
Government officials are
exempt from this new law as they and their families and some of their friends
and a few of their friends friends can obtain golf clubs at taxpayers’ expense.

AARP or AMAC? For me, the choice was clear.

The AARP pretends to be a Nonpartisan Advocacy Organization for people over fifty. That’s a bunch of Bovine Excrement.
They are, and always have
been an insurance company, and they are most definitely NOT nonpartisan. They have
ALWAYS supported the Democratic Party and the liberal agenda.
I was suckered in by their
direct mail campaign back when I was in my mid-fifties, and joined. I soon learned that they supported everything
I opposed, and opposed everything I supported.
Needless to say, I did not
renew when my one year membership was up.
A much better choice if you are a conservative and you feel you must
join something would be the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC). Unlike the AARP, the AMAC makes no claim about being nonpartisan.

AARP has consistently managed to package itself as a critically needed, beneficent organization "just trying to help the old folks get by." They persistently claim to have no political agenda even in the face of obvious financial and editorial support for Obama in both presidential elections. They have come under fire time after time from conservative groups incensed by AARP's left-leaning rhetoric and agenda. Still, AARP feigns innocence.

"Thanks to just-released emails, we now know that AARP worked through 2009-10 as an extension of a Democratic White House, toiling daily to pass a health bill that slashes $716 billion from Medicare, strips seniors of choice, and sets the stage for rationing. Now that ObamaCare is having an enormously detrimental effect on the health care seniors can expect, it is most assuredly time for us to give credit where credit is due. The role our devoted AARP has played in this national fiasco is without question. From that same article...

In breathless anticipation of an unrealistic nirvana some wacky professor opened their childish eyes to many moons ago, these radicals sworn to "fundamentally change America" are salivating as their socialist daydreams come true. And we hard-working, taxpaying schmucks, who, by the way, embody most of AARP's membership, get to finance their silly pipe dreams.
So this month's magazine arrives -- and on the cover is Maria Shriver. Forget that she is Democrat Royalty and chief torch bearer for the spurious Kennedy clan. But is it mere coincidence she is being so honored by the AARP just as her latest "Shriver Report" arrives hot off the presses?
Entitled "A Woman's Nation Pushes Back from the Brink", (Holy Cow!) this report was cosponsored by left-wing Center for American Progress (a George Soros baby) and cowritten by mental heavyweights Beyonce, Jada Pinkett Smith, LeBron James, and Eva Longoria. Lest we dare conclude this simply another bouquet of Hollywood absurdity concerning the pending doom of American women, Hilary Clinton joins in with a 'non-partisan' regurgitation of her own "war on women" baloney. By the way, the Shriver Report has garnered Obama's solemn endorsement. Something must be done! Maybe he'll give another speech.
As I halfheartedly open the magazine, I see, "What I Know", by Arsenio Hall. One segment is entitled "It Takes A Village", a reprise of Hillary's contention that the "village" is as responsible for the rearing and nurturing of a child as the birth parents who might find themselves too busy or otherwise preoccupied to bother.
Next, a glowing article on Jane Pauley, noted NBC personality. NBC is the most leftist-leaning of the three major networks and for Ms. Pauley to have been in their employ most of her career speaks volumes as to her political leanings. I couldn't care less what Jane Pauley believes or doesn't believe, but are you noticing a pattern here?
The multi-paged main article on Ms. Shriver is downright sodden in adoration and worship. Cutesy family photos abound but the shot of her sitting atop her desk is, well... bizarre. Hard to imagine Sarah Palin getting away with such a pose.
Page 64 offers the profound insights of Marlo Thomas. Her byline reads "Actress, Author and Activist." Not as overtly left-leaning as her husband of 33 years, Phil Donahue, she has been closely associated with the Democratic Party and Feminists groups throughout her career.
The final blow roars in as AARP nitwits deliver unto us their role models for growing older. Of the 7 persons they chose to set up as the ideal elder, only one is a known Republican, Bob Barker. I wince to mention they have chosen for their first example of prime aging Mr. Brad Pitt. I know. However, his photo does draw you into the article so where's the harm? No, the real story here is in the actual lineup of stellar agers they suggest we emulate.
First is Keith Richards, a bastion of conservative and moral values if ever there was one. The sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll lifestyle of this man is witnessed in every crevice of his face. How he has survived this long is a miracle.
Next in the line-up is Cokie Roberts. Her mother was the first woman to preside over a Democratic convention and Cokie has obviously been trying to catch up ever since. One of the most ferociously liberal commentators and interviewers on television, her loyalties to the liberal agenda have always been obvious.
However, the paragon of good living the AARP opts to sally forth next takes the cake indeed. It's the one, the only, Angela Davis. The same Angela Davis whose various biographies describe her as political activist, Communist, author, and philosopher. She first drew attention as a counterculture activist and radical extremist in the 1960s. Later, she became a leader in the Communist Party USA -- even ran for vice-president on their ticket in the 80s. She had close ties with the Black Panther Party and Black Power politics and was on the FBI's Most Wanted list after fleeing an arrest. But never mind all that silly stuff. Just a big misunderstanding, I'm sure. Let's not forget that John and Yoko immortalized her in their song, "Angela." How bad could she be?
The remaining pages entice with the usual how to get healthy, how to look healthy or, at least, pretend to be healthy. There's loads of enticing info on life insurance, miracle foods, practical shoes, accessible bathtubs and, of course, tantalizing advertisements for things most seniors can no longer afford.
What there is not is one single representative thought, article or voice for conservatism.
So, I ask you, AARP... are you honestly unable to find even one conservative role model to highlight, one known right-winger to interview, one successful Republican to extol?
Are you so arrogant as to not notice the millions of us vehemently opposed to Obama and his socialist agenda? You exploit your mighty voice with blatant bias. You are a wolf in sheep's clothing -- and I, one small voice, find your magazine, your political involvements, and your behind-the-scenes deals despicable. I may not have a choice about growing older but I sure as hell have a choice about who claims to speak for me!

The 9th Circuit’s
ruling basically declares that all of Obama’s Cabinet members can make any
arbitrary decision they want, even ones that counter acts of Congress and there
is nothing the courts will do to stop them. This is very dangerous grounds. It’s bad enough having a president and
attorney general who assume dictatorial powers but now to realize that Obama’s
entire Cabinet has them too is really scary and extremely dangerous.

WHO WILL REPLACE SENATOR COBURN?
Senator Coburn is stepping down, presumable because of his bout with cancer. The big question now is “who will replace him”.
The other day, Congressman James Lankford announced his candidacy to replace Senator Coburn. When Lankford first took office as my representative, I was delighted because I honestly believed he was a true conservative. I was wrong. He is a moderate at best.
Lankford has gone along with the establishment leadership in the House on a number of critical votes and I have come to believe he would do the same in the Senate. It is very frustrating to me when Republicans who want to project the image of a conservative at home right before a campaign, but throw in with the status quo establishment in Washington the rest of their term.
But Lankford’s defense of his budget deal vote is just bizarre. He defends his support for the December Ryan-Murray deal as a vote “in favor of strong national defense.” Presumably, he means that the deal reinstated some of the defense spending by partially repealing the sequester. Here’s the problem: all the spending offsets in the deal were notional or intangible – except for the cuts to military pensions for those already serving! So he defends a vote for increased spending and funding Obamacare as a vote for national defense when the only real spending cut in the bill hurt veterans.
Fast-forward to last week and Lankford voted against the omnibus bill. The omnibus was merely the long-form budget laid out under the blueprint of Ryan-Murray, which he supported. You can’t complain about some of the spending increases which busted the budget caps because that was already set in motion by the December agreement, which, again, Lankford deemed worthy because of the sequester repeal.
Moreover, on some level, at least the omnibus repealed some of the military pension cuts. That’s why some members who opposed Ryan-Murray felt compelled to support the bill. Most other conservatives didn’t fall for the trap and voted no on both. But Lankford voted for Ryan-Murray, supposedly because of better defense spending, yet voted against its blood child bill, which reinstated some of the military pension cuts in the original bill.
If this was such a wondrous bipartisan budget deal opposed only by the “absolutist” conservative groups why did Lankford vote against the omnibus – especially after he supported the FY 2012 omnibus?
The only coherent reason that can be offered is that he wasn’t about to saddle himself with a bad vote a week before his planned Senate announcement.
Yes, my friends, that’s “the Washington, D.C. game.” And despite only being in politics for three years, he has learned to play quite naturally.
When Coburn ran for the Senate in 2004, the establishment rallied behind his opponent in the primary. Coburn was the outsider. But conservatives united behind him, rallied, and won. I think we should do the same for Jim Bridenstine.
I have not met Mr. Bridenstine, but I know he’s a veteran and a solid conservative whom I believe would continue Senator Coburn’s commitment to rooting out government waste, fraud, and abuse. I also believe he will stand with Senators Cruz and Lee to fight the fight that must be fought even against his own side over the size and scope of the federal government.
I haven’t been pleased with EVERY vote made by Senator Coburn, but overall he has done a very good job. I was pleased to hear the he is endorsing Jim Bridenstine./

Though only in his first term, Bridenstine has established himself as a
principled legislator. He was among the group of House conservatives
who fought to defund Obamacare last fall, joining
with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who had encourage them to stand their ground on the
issue.
The Oklahoma Republican has introduced legislation to
repeal the 16th Amendment. He has also been a strong critic President
Barack Obama’s abuse of executive power.
Bridenstine’s fiscal conservative credentials are bolstered by his 95% rating from FreedomWorks and 90% score from Americans for
Prosperity. He also has a 90% score on The New American’s Freedom
Index, which measures votes based on the Constitution.
