Seattle’s $15 Minimum Wage:

Do The Math!

WELL, WELL, WELL
You can’t say I didn’t warn that this would happen.  No, that doesn’t make me a genius.  It was obvious to most people.

Government needs to stick with government, and let private business take care of private business.  That’s called “free enterprise”, and it really does work.  It’s based on the age old law of supply and demand.

The business that needs workers with a little more drive and/or skill, they will be willing to pay a little more.   The business that needs workers with a LOT more drive and/or skill, they will be willing to pay a lot more.  So, the more skill you have, the more you are paid.

And how to you go about getting more skill?  Well, one way is to start at the bottom with a minimum wage entry level job and learn all you can.  Don’t just show up for work and what you MUST do to keep from being fired.  Do all that you CAN do, and learn all that you CAN learn.  The problem is, very few people are willing to do that these days.
