The Supreme Court will take Mandatory Union Dues Case this Fall
In a surprise move that could pose a major threat to organized labor — a key Democrat constituency that supports liberal candidates with vast amounts of campaign cash — the U.S. Supreme Court has just said it will hear a controversial case out of California.
USA Today reports that the justices have agreed to consider the case of Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association, “challenging the requirement that teachers contribute to unions, even if they don’t join them or agree with their positions on issues.”
The USA Today article points out that, in the most recent case to come before the court in which the forced union dues have been challenged by people who don’t support what those dues have paid for politically, a sharply divided court ruled against the union policy.
“…the court ruled 5-4 along ideological lines that home-care workers in Illinois do not have to pay dues to public employee unions. The workers said the unions lobbied the government, often on issues the workers oppose — thereby abridging their First Amendment rights.”
In the California case that will bring the critical issue back before the Supreme Court in late fall, two lower courts have upheld the demand by the California Teachers Association that teachers contribute to the union, even if they don’t belong to the union or don’t agree with the group’s position of issues.
The eventual outcome of the matter is very important because massive amounts of money involved, and, just as critical is its timing as the 2016 election cycle moves into high gear.

The Obama Administration will make Millions from Gay Marriage
Marriage isn't just a legal, religious, or
cultural institution — it's also a fiscal one, with big ramifications for
the way that the government taxes ordinary Americans and spends money to

As gay marriage has spread on the state

IF IT’S OVERREACH, WE MUST IMPEACH
Indiana says it won't follow EPA climate rule
Indiana is prepared to ignore the Obama administration’s climate rule for power plants unless the regulation is changed considerably from last year’s proposal, according to the state's governor. He wrote a letter to Obama: http://www.in.gov/activecalendar/EventList.aspx?view=EventDetails&eventidn=221567&information_id=215753&type=&syndicate=syndicate
If a state does not submit a plan, the EPA would write its own rules for the state and enforce them, assuming the regulation is not blocked by Congress or the federal courts.
Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin (R) is the only state leader so far to instruct her staff to ignore the regulation.
Leaders in Texas and Wisconsin have voiced strong objections to the rule and expressed doubts that their states would comply, but have also stopped short of completely rejecting it.
More states
need to stand up to Obama and the EPA. The Constitution does not give the EPA this
kind of power. There is no law that
gives the EPA this kind of power. They received
this power from a unconstitutional executive order from Obama.
I say it’s
time to resend the executive order. The
job of the EPA is supposed to be to advise congress, not to make laws. Congress is supposed to make the laws and
the justice department is supposed to enforce them.
Obama’s
overreach is changing the way our whole system of government works and the RINO’s in charge of Congress are allowing
him to do it.
My motto is “IF
IT’S OVERREACH, WE MUST IMPEACH”.
UPDATE:
A Small temporary win is better than no win at all.
In a major win for the energy industry, the Supreme Court ruled TODAY (June 29th) against the Environmental Protection Agency's effort to limit certain power plant emissions -- saying the agency "unreasonably" failed to consider the cost of the regulations.
The rules curbing emissions of mercury and other hazardous air pollutants began to take effect in April. But the court said by a 5-4 vote Monday that the EPA failed to take their cost into account when the agency first decided to regulate the toxic emissions from coal- and oil-fired plants.
The challenge was brought by industry groups and 21 Republican-led states.
Writing for the court, Justice Scalia said it is not appropriate to impose billions of dollars of economic costs in return for a few dollars in health or environmental benefits.
"EPA must consider cost -- including cost of compliance -- before deciding whether regulation is appropriate and necessary," the court said.
The case now goes back to lower courts for the EPA to decide how to account for costs.

He’s well known because of the very popular
Charley Daniels Band, but a lot of people may not know about is his web site.
Yes, I know, all celebrities
have a web site, but he has a section on his called “soap box” where he posts
his opinion on current events. I enjoy
reading his comments because he is an honest, sincere, Christian man who, like
me, is concerned about the direction this country has taken.
His posts to his soap box are
archived, so you can go back and read as many as you like. His most recent is called “flags” and is his

THE TRUTH ABOUT HOW THINGS GET DONE IN CONGRESS
Boehner Got $5 million, Ryan $2 Million,
McConnell $9 Million – Any Doubt Why TPA Passed?
The politicians like to keep the money trail brushed as clean of their footprints as possible, to make it less blatantly obvious that they are exchanging votes for “campaign” cash. Money talks in DC. In our current government it is the only language other than Orwellian double speak which is understood.

John Boehner, Paul Ryan, Mike McCarthy and other House members did quite well for themselves financially in the pursuit of their corporate masters’ dreams of overthrowing the United States government.
Anyone who wonders how millionaires or billionaires are made on a Congressional salary can get some good insight from this information, published by Maplight.org.

History of BOTH Republican and Democrat Accomplishments.
CAN YOU THINK OF ANYTHING THAT REPUBLICIANS HAVE EVER ACCOMPLISHED?
FACT: In May of
1854, a number of the anti-slavery Democrats in Congress – along with some
anti-slavery members from other political parties, including the Whigs, Free
Soilers, and Emancipationists, formed a new political party to fight slavery
and secure equal civil rights for black Americans. They called it the Republican Party because they wanted to
return to the principles of freedom and equality first set forth in the
governing documents of the Republic before pro-slavery members of
Congress had perverted those original principles.
FACT: One of the founders of the Republican was U.S.
Senator Charles Sumner. In 1856, Sumner gave a two day long speech in the
U.S. Senate against slavery. Following that speech, Democratic Representative
Preston Brooks from South Carolina came from the House, across the Rotunda of
the Capitol, and over to the Senate where he literally clubbed down Sumner on
the floor of the Senate, knocked him unconscious, and beat him almost to
death. According to the sources of that day, many Democrats thought that
Sumner’s clubbing was deserved, and it even amused them. What happened to
Democrat Preston Brooks following his vicious attack on Sumner? He was
proclaimed a southern hero and easily re-elected to Congress.
FACT: In 1856, the Republican Party entered its first
Presidential election, running Republican John C. Fremont against Democrat
James Buchanan. In that election, the Republican Party issued its
first-ever Party platform. It was a short document with only nine planks
in the platform, but significantly, six of the nine planks set forth bold
declarations of equality and civil rights for African Americans based on the
principles of the Declaration of Independence.
FACT: During the Civil War era, the “Radical Republicans” were given that name because they wanted to not only end slavery but also to endow the freed slaves with full citizenship, equality, and rights.
FACT: Following the Civil War, Frederick Douglass received
Presidential appointments from Republican Presidents Ulysses Grant, Rutherford
B. Hayes, and James A. Garfield. Democratic President Grover Cleveland
removed Frederick Douglas from office but Republican President Benjamin
Harrison reappointed him.
FACT: Lincoln’s Vice President, Andrew Johnson, was a strongly pro-Union (but also pro-slavery) Democrat who had been chosen by Lincoln as a compromise running mate to attract Democrats. After Lincoln was assassinated, Johnson thwarted Republican efforts in Congress to recognize the civil rights of the freed slaves, and Southern Democrats continued to thwart any such efforts for close to a century.
FACT: The 14th Amendment, giving full citizenship to freed slaves, passed in 1868 with 94% Republican support and 0% Democrat support in congress. The 15th Amendment, giving freed slaves the right to vote, passed in 1870 with 100% Republican support and 0% Democrat support in congress. The 13th Amendment to abolish slavery was voted for by 100% of the Republicans in congress and by 23% of the Democrats in congress.
FACT: The Ku Klux Klan was originally and primarily an arm of the Southern Democratic Party. Its mission was to terrorize freed slaves and “ni**er-loving” (their words) Republicans who sympathized with them.
FACT: In the 1950s, President Eisenhower, a Republican, integrated the US military and promoted civil rights for minorities. Eisenhower pushed through the Civil Rights Act of 1957. One of Eisenhower’s primary political opponents on civil rights prior to 1957 was none other than Lyndon Johnson, then the Democratic Senate Majority Leader. LBJ had voted the straight segregationist line until he changed his position and supported the 1957 Act in an effort to gain public support as he planned his Presidential run in the coming elections
FACT: The historic Civil Rights Act of 1964 was supported by a higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats in both houses of Congress. In the House, 80 percent of the Republicans and 63 percent of the Democrats voted in favor. In the Senate, 82 percent of the Republicans and 69 percent of the Democrats voted for it.
FACT: Contrary to popular misconception, the parties never “switched” on racism. The Democrats just switched from overt racism to a subversive strategy of getting blacks as dependent as possible on government to secure their votes. At the same time, they began a cynical smear campaign to label anyone who opposes their devious strategy as greedy racists.
So there you have it! You are now armed with the historical facts necessary to enlighten a liberal. But, good luck with that, because most liberals refuse to see the truth.
OK, SO HOW ABOUT DEMOCRAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS?
FACT: In 1857, a
Democratically controlled Supreme Court delivered the Dred Scott decision,
declaring that blacks were not persons or citizens but instead were property
and therefore had no rights.
FACT: Not one
Democrat either in the House or the Senate voted for the 14th amendment
declaring that former slaves were full citizens of the state in which they
lived and were therefore entitled to all the rights and privileges of any other
citizen in that state.
FACT: Not a single
one of the 56 Democrats in Congress voted for the 15th amendment that granted
explicit voting rights to black Americans.
FACT: In 1866
Democrats formed the Ku Klux Klan to pave the way for Democrats to regain
control in the elections.
FACT: George Wallace
was and Bull Connor were both Democrats.
FACT: In the 19th
century, Democrats prevented Black Americans from going to public school.
FACT: In the 20th
and 21st century Democrats prevented Black Americans trapped in failing schools
from choosing a better school. In fact Democrats voted against the bill by 99%.
FACT: Jim Crow laws,
poll taxes, grandfather clauses, Literacy tests, white only primaries, and
physical violence all came from the Democratic Party.
FACT: Between 1882
and 1964, 4,743 individuals were lynched. 3,446 blacks and 1,297 whites.
Republicans often led the efforts to pass federal anti-lynching laws and
Democrats successfully blocked those bills.
FACT: Though both
the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 were signed into
law under Democrat President, Lyndon Johnson, it was the Republicans in
Congress who made it possible in both cases – not to overlook the fact that the
heart of both bills came from the work of Republican President Dwight D.
Eisenhower. Eisenhower was unable to get
it passed because of opposition by Democrats.
FACT: In the 108th
Congress, when Republicans proposed a permanent extension of the 1965 Voting
Rights Act, it was opposed by the Congressional Black Caucus (composed only of
Democrats).
FACT: In 1789,
Congress passed the Northwest Ordinance that prohibited slavery in a federal
territory. In 1820, the Democratic Congress passed the Missouri
Compromise and reversed that earlier policy, permitting slavery in almost half
of the federal territories.
FACT: In 1850,
Democrats in Congress passed the “Fugitive Slave Law”. That law required
Northerners to return escaped slaves back into slavery or else pay huge fines.
FACT: Because the
“Fugitive Slave Law” allowed Free Blacks to be carried into slavery, this law
was disastrous for blacks in the North; and as a consequence of the atrocious
provisions of this Democratic law, some 20,000 blacks in the North left the United States and fled to Canada.
FACT: The
“Underground Railroad” reached the height of its activity during this period,
helping thousands of slaves escape from slavery in the South all the way out of
the United
States
and into Canada – simply to escape the reach of the Democrats’
Fugitive Slave Law.
FACT: In 1854, the democratically
controlled Congress passed another law strengthening slavery: the
Kansas-Nebraska Act. Even though Democrats in Congress had already
expanded the federal territories in which slavery was permitted through their
passage of the Missouri Compromise, they had retained a ban on slavery in the
Kansas-Nebraska territory. But through the Kansas-Nebraska Act, Democrats
repealed those earlier restrictions, thus allowing slavery to be introduced
into parts of the new territory where it previously had been forbidden.
FACT: In 1856, the
Democratic platform took a position strongly defending slavery and warned: “All
efforts of the abolitionists… are calculated to lead to the most alarming and
dangerous consequences and all such efforts have an inevitable tendency to
diminish the happiness of the people”.
It is worth noting that for over a century and a half,
Democrats often have taken a position that some human life is disposable – as
they did in the Dred Scott decision. In that instance, a black
individual was not a life, it was property; and an individual could do with his
property as he wished. Today, Democrats have largely taken that same
position on unborn human life – that an unborn human is disposable property to
do with as one wishes.

UPDATE:
PUT THE SUPREME COURT JUDGES ON OBAMACARE
Rep. Brian Babin of Texas said his “SCOTUScare Act” would require that all of the nine Supreme Court justices and their employees MUST join in with millions of Americans by enrolling in ObamaCare.
“As the Supreme Court continues to ignore the letter of the law, it’s important that these six individuals (THE VOTE WAS 6-3) understand the full impact of their decisions on the American people,” he stated. “That’s why I introduced the SCOTUScare Act to require the Supreme Court and all of its employees to sign up for Obamacare.”
The potential legislation would mandate that the federal government could only provide the Supreme Court with healthcare via ObamaCare exchanges.
“By eliminating their exemption from Obamacare, they will see firsthand what the American people are forced to live with,” he remarked, according to The Hill.
This bill came after the Supreme Court’s Thursday ruling that upheld federal subsidies in Obamacare that are provided by the government to offset the cost of purchasing health insurance on federally run exchanges, despite the clear language of the bill stating that such subsidies were to be provided only to Americans who purchased coverage through state exchanges.
Justice Scalia accused Chief Justice Roberts of rewriting the law twice in 2012 and again in this latest ruling simply to protect Obamacare from legal destruction.
“We should start calling this law SCOTUScare,” Scalia fumed in his dissent, referring to the many times Roberts has intervened to save the Affordable Care Act.
Scalia concluded that the “discouraging truth (is) that the Supreme Court of the United States favors some laws over others, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to uphold and assist its favorites.”
“You’ve now got a supreme court that is out of control, that making up laws as it goes,” says Jindal. “If the court is not going to follow the constitution, why don’t we save some money and get rid of the Supreme Court? What is the point of having a supreme court if it’s not going to follow the Constitution?”
He’s definitely the first candidate of either party that has made such a recommendation.
Earlier in the day, he released a statement on his campaign website:
“The Supreme Court decision today conveniently and not surprisingly follows public opinion polls, and tramples on states’ rights that were once protected by the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. Marriage between a man and a woman was established by God, and no earthly court can alter that.
This decision will pave the way for an all out assault against the religious freedom rights of Christians who disagree with this decision. This ruling must not be used as pretext by Washington to erode our right to religious liberty.
The government should not force those who have sincerely held religious beliefs about marriage to participate in these ceremonies. That would be a clear violation of America’s long held commitment to religious liberty as protected in the First Amendment.
I will never stop fighting for religious liberty and I hope our leaders in D.C. join me.”
According to current polling, Jindal ranks last among the top 15 GOP hopefuls.

WHO IS RUNNING THIS COUNTRY?
There is some speculation that one or more of the Supreme Court Judges are being blackmailed. At first thought, that might tend to sound a bit ridiculous, but the idea is plausible.
Remember that this is the same Obama administration that orders IRS attacks, and then orders destruction of key evidence. We all know that this administration would stop at nothing to save Obama’s signature achievement?
Just think about it; when
Democrats were winning elections, “elections had consequences”, as our President
proudly pronounced, but when Republicans started winning elections, elections
seem to have no consequences.
Doesn’t this seem odd? Doesn’t it look like maybe the fix is in?
Doesn’t Justice Roberts voting to save Obamacare not once, but twice, seem just a bit unlikely. Justice Roberts is a lifelong dedicated conservative. He was appointed by President George W. Bush to become the key conservative vote in important decisions that effect “the fundamental transformation of America.” Justice Roberts was born, raised and groomed for one job in this life – to join that Supreme Court, strike down Obamacare, protect the Constitution and end big government overreach.
Yet he is the man responsible for saving Obamacare – twice.
Doesn’t this seem a bit odd to you?
And it’s not just Justice Roberts, the same theory could also apply to Speaker of the House John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Think about it. All it takes to destroy America and pass Obama’s agenda is to control a few key powerful positions in Washington, D.C. And it appears that someone is doing just that.
All it takes to stop the GOP from blocking Obama’s agenda is to blackmail one or two key conservative leaders. That would explain why suddenly sworn lifelong conservatives are giving Obama whatever he wants – Obamacare, Trans Pacific Partnership, massive tax increases, amnesty for illegals.
What makes anyone think the government and it’s agencies (IRS, NSA, DOJ, FBI, SEC) don’t know everything bad about everyone in key positions in Washington, D.C.? What makes you think that blackmail isn’t happening every day to conservative politicians – except it’s the government doing the blackmailing?
I think Obama, or someone in his administration, meets with a key politician like Boehner or Justice Roberts and threaten to expose something terrible like an affair, or corruption, or malfeasance, or immorality that would shock the nation, ruin their career, destroy their legacy, cost their marriage, destroy their relationship with their children and leave them unemployable by any respectable law firm or lobbyist.
Or if they are willing to vote Obama’s way, they get to continue playing national leader and hero, their legacy is untouched, their family loves them, and they retire someday to a $5 million per year lobbying job.
I have given this a lot of thought, and I believe those options are being offered every day to key political figures in Washington, D.C. I believe that Republicans are being blackmailed, intimidated, extorted and bribed. That explains Justice Roberts and the Supreme Court ruling against the American People again. That explains why conservatives keep winning elections, yet we keep gaining nothing and losing everything.
Pat Buchanan makes a good point in this collumn.

"I will never be able to hold her again, but I forgive you."
So said Nadine Collier, who lost her mother in the massacre at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, offering forgiveness to Dylann Roof, who confessed to the atrocity that took the lives of nine churchgoers at that Wednesday night prayer service and Bible study.
If there is a better recent example of what it means to be a Christian, I am unaware of it. Collier and the families of those slain showed a faithfulness to Christ's gospel of love and forgiveness that many are taught but few are strong enough to follow, especially at times like this.
Their Christian witness testifies to a forgotten truth: If slavery was the worst thing that happened to black folks brought from Africa to America, Christianity was the best.
Charleston, too, gave us an example of how a city should behave when faced with horror.
Contrast the conduct of those good Southern people who stood outside that church in solidarity with the aggrieved, with the Ferguson mobs that looted and burned and the New York mobs that chanted for the killing of cops when the Eric Garner grand jury declined to indict.
Yet, predictably, the cultural Marxists, following Rahm Emanuel's dictum that you never let a crisis go to waste, descended like locusts.
As Roof had filmed himself flaunting a Confederate battle flag, the cry went out to tear that flag down from the war memorial in Columbia, South Carolina, and remove its vile presence everywhere in America.
Sally Jenkins of The Washington Post appeared front and center on its op-ed page with this call to healing: "The Confederate battle flag is an American swastika, the relic of traitors and totalitarians, symbol of a brutal regime, not a republic. The Confederacy was treason in defense of a still deeper crime against humanity: slavery."
But if Jenkins' hate-filled screed is right, if the Confederacy was Nazi Germany on American soil, then not only the battle flag must go.
The Confederate War Memorial on the capitol grounds honors the scores of thousands of South Carolinians who died in the lost cause. And if that was a cause of traitors and totalitarians and about nothing but slavery, ought not that memorial be dynamited?
Even as ISIS is desecrating tombs in Palmyra, Syria, the cultural purge of the South has begun.
Rep. Steve Cohen wants the name of legendary cavalryman Nathan Bedford Forrest removed from Forrest Park in Memphis and his bust gone from the capitol; Sen. Mitch McConnell wants the statue of Confederate President Jefferson Davis removed from the Kentucky capitol.
Governors are rushing to remove replicas of the battle flag from license plates, with Virginia's Terry McAuliffe the most vocal. Will McAuliffe also demand that the statues of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson be removed from Monument Avenue in Richmond?
"Take Down a Symbol of Hatred," rails The New York Times.
But the battle flag is not so much a symbol of hatred as it is an object of hatred, a target of hatred. It evokes a hatred of the visceral sort that we see manifest in Jenkins' equating of the South of Washington, Jefferson, John Calhoun, Andrew Jackson and Lee with Hitler's Third Reich.
What the flag symbolizes for the millions who revere, cherish or love it, however, is the heroism of those who fought and died under it. That flag flew over battlefields, not over slave quarters.
Hence, who are the real haters here?
Can the Times really believe that all those coffee cups and baseball caps and T-shirts and sweaters and flag decals on car and truck bumpers are declarations that the owners hate black people? Does the Times believe Southern folks fly the battle flag in their yards because they want slavery back?
The Times' editorialists cannot be such fools.
Vilification of that battle flag and the Confederacy is part of the cultural revolution in America that flowered half a century ago. Among its goals was the demoralization of the American people by demonizing their past and poisoning their belief in their own history.
The world is turned upside down. The new dogma of the cultural Marxists: Columbus was a genocidal racist. Three of our Founding Fathers — Washington, Jefferson, Madison — were slave owners. Andrew Jackson was an ethnic cleanser of Indians. The great Confederate generals —- Lee, Jackson, Forrest — fought to preserve an evil institution. You have nothing to be proud of and much to be ashamed of if your ancestors fought for the South. And, oh yes, your battle flag is the moral equivalent of a Nazi swastika.
And how is the Republican Party standing up to this cultural lynch mob? Retreating and running as fast as possible.
If we are to preserve our republic, future generations are going to need what that battle flag truly stands for: pride in our history and defiance in the face of the arrogance of power.

You Have Changed My Country Enough Already.
Over the years, millions of illegal aliens have flooded into our country in hope of a better life. You really can’t blame them, but that does not excuse the fact that they broke the law by entering our country illegally.
Yet, so many of them do their best to turn America into their home country that they fled from.
As more illegals flood into our country, they are changing our culture and our freedoms. We’ve seen instances where American students have been disciplined for wearing or displaying the American flag here in America because it offended Hispanic students, some of which were illegals. A school in California displayed the Mexican flag above the American flag on a Mexican holiday, which is a clear violation of Section 7 (c) of the US Flag Code as passed by Congress in 1942, yet liberal judges have ruled it okay. In some US schools, classes are only taught in Spanish with no effort made to teach English to the illegal Hispanic students.

Ted Nugent Speaks out about RACISM in America.
Just when you think Ted Nugent has said every jaw dropping, and usually true, statement there is to say about liberals, he surprises you again. This time Ted calls out Al Sharpton and the Obama administration on their obsession with making race the issue in every conversation.
On the Mike Broomhead show, Nugent points out that he has never experienced racism like this until Obama came into office. Nugent said that he was “shattered” to learn of racism against African-Americans as a young person, but that by the late 60s, the 70s, I couldn’t find racism.
The current plight of black Americans was carefully planed by Democrats.
The brilliant economist, and Professor at George Mason University, Walter
E. Williams has a column up at CNS
News discussing the mythology that has arisen around the current problems in
the black community.
He totally demolishes some commonly held
liberal beliefs, such as today’s problems can be traced back to slavery.
The bulk of today's problems
for many blacks are a result of politicians and civil rights organizations
using government in the name of helping blacks when in fact they are serving
the purposes of powerful interest groups.

This current plight of black
Americans was carefully planed by President Lyndon Johnson and the Democrats. The plan was to keep them poor and
uneducated, and dependent on government assistance.
WHY? To keep them voting for
Democrats.
