Evidence of apparent incompetence and
misbehavior continues to pile up in the case of the “Baltimore
Six” — not evidence against the cops involved in the police-custody death of
Freddie Gray, but against the state’s attorney prosecuting the case.
On the heels of the embarrassing disclosure
that Marilyn Mosby filed her motion for a gag order in the wrong court — an
attempt to keep defense attorneys from talking to the media that was denied —
comes word that it was Mosby herself who directed police to crack down on drug
dealing in the very neighborhood where Gray was apprehended.
If
the accusation is true the whole thing was a "set up" from the
beginning - With mayor and prosecutors ties to the white house; who is the
instigator behind the whole Freddie Gray thing and who paid the rioters?
I
have formed no opinion in reference to the Freddie Gray arrest yet, because, I
don't believe all the facts are yet available. I will however say that the more facts that
come out, the less guilty the police officers appear to be.
It
is apparent that the prosecution would like to have non-transparency when it
comes to some facts. That bothers me
because in the other
infamous situations of late the lack of transparency has been criticized by
those who are eager to condemn police officers. Her statements relative to not wishing to try
the case in the press speak to some hypocrisy on her part as in previous statements
she has basically already convicted these six officers.
