I WANTA KNOW

Remember the lyrics from the old Credence Clearwater song “I wanta know, who’ll stop the rain?  Well, there’s a lot more than rain that I wanta know from Obama. 

I wanta know why he has claimed executive privilege on Attorney General Erik Holder's role in the "Fast and Furious" scandal, where there are questions about possible obstruction of justice?

The last budget he submitted to Congress received not a single vote from either Republicans or Democrats.  I wanta know what specific cuts and changes he will propose this year to break your track record of annual trillion-dollar deficits?

He was caught on a hot mic saying that Putin could expect more flexibility in his diplomatic negotiations with Russia after his re-election. I wanta to know just what does that mean in terms of concessions?

He guaranteed that if we made less than $250,000, our taxes wouldn't go up, but 12 of the 21 tax increases in Obamacare hit the middle class.  I wanta know why he lied about that.

He has complained about Romney's five point plan, but his stated plan to hire more teachers, invest in infrastructure and alternative energy, incentives for businesses that manufacture in America, and tax the rich sounds just like what he has been doing that has failed to stimulate a strong economic recovery.  I wanta know when will he come up with a plan that will actually work.

There are so many thing I wanta know relating to the terrorist attack on Benghazi and the loss of four Americans, I hardly know where to start:  Since intelligence and real-time video clearly show that it was a terrorist attack, who authorized the talking points that stressed that the attack was a result of a demonstration over an offensive video even two weeks after all the facts were known?  In response to the call for help at the embassy and annex, who authorized that no military support would be sent?  Did Obama know about and support the decision to refuse additional security when it was requested by the ambassador well prior to the attack?  In light of his promise of transparency, I wanta know why he didn't authorize a press conference where all of the key figures, could go on record with what they knew, when they knew it and what they did or did not authorize?

Finally Mr. Obama, I wanta know, if elected, will you step down from the presidency to avoid another Watergate, if it is proven that you lied to Americans and covered up your role in this travesty?

If you have not yet voted, please ask yourself “can I vote for this man without knowing the answers to these questions?”  Please take a long hard look at whether this president has earned your trust. People won't willingly follow a leader into the unknown unless they can trust that person's instincts, choices, and values. We did it once, but are you truly better off than you were four years ago?

Truth matters. Transparency matters. Lies matter. Values matter. With President Obama, it is becoming increasingly clear that he knows the exact calibration of political dishonesty and dodging that he can get away with. To Obama, it's politics and power that matter most.  He would send this country down the toilet to get himself re-elected.  Oh, I forgot, he already has…
