THROW THE BUM OUT

It’s time to bring Obama up on impeachment charges.
Even though Republicans added about a dozen members to its already-significant majority in the U.S. House, and now also have a majority in the Senate; party leaders have said there are no plans for impeachment.

In July, House Speaker John Boehner blasted Democrats for saying the House GOP wants to impeach Obama, calling it “a scam started by Democrats at the White House.”

“This whole talk about impeachment is coming from the president’s own staff and coming from Democrats on Capitol Hill,” Boehner said. “Why? Because they’re trying to rally their people to give money and to show up in this year’s election.”

News flash Mr. Speaker; that talk about impeachment is also coming from the voters who put you in office, and from the taxpayers who pay your salary.

Boehner also added: “We have no plans to impeach the president. We have no future plans.”

I say why not.  The Constitution provides for impeachment when a president exceeds his authority, and it’s a provision that should be used.   If Obama goes ahead with his plan to grant amnesty to nearly five million illegal immigrants through executive action, then clearly that would be exceeding his authority.  If Boehner won’t do it, elect a new speaker.

Here’s a memo to all GOP members of both houses: If you like your job, and you want to keep your job, do not allow this president to exceed his authority anymore than he already has.  And a law suite, as Speaker John Boehner has hinted at, simply aint gonna fly.  Use the Constitution, that’s what it’s there for.

Discussion about bringing impeachment charges against Obama has been around for years. It’s increased in intensity in recent months because of the piling on of scandals, including the immigration catastrophe on the southern border.  Obama cannot run again, so he has nothing to lose.  He can do unlimited damage to this country if he is allowed to remain in office.

Richard Nixon’s activities were a mere drop in the bucket compared to all of Obama’s.  I’m not saying that Nixon shouldn’t have been impeached, I’m just saying there is a lot more reason now than then.

I am one that believes sincerely that when a president, Democrat or Republican, exceeds his authority, it’s time to throw the bum out.

I know that some conservatives fear impeachment would bring everything crashing down on the GOP.  And, I know that some of the left wing media and some of the Democrats would try to play the race card and claim obstructionism and everything under the sun.  But, it just might be surprising how much support impeachment would get from some of the media and even from some Democrats.

Those same conservatives who fear impeachment claim it would only distract from the many Obama scandals that are finally being covered by some of the media.  But I say impeachment proceedings would only amplify the scandals, because they would supply the meat of impeachment charges.

Rather than hanging back and waiting for Obama to self-destruct further, Republicans need to show the country that they can stand for the rule of law and still get the day-to-day business accomplished.  Most importantly, they need to pull the cover off the rat’s nest of the Obama Administration and show it to the world in terms so clear and undeniable that people can’t help but agree that Obama needs to go.

If the Congress can’t find high crimes and misdemeanors in Obama’s various scandals, then they are not earning their pay.

The mood of the country is with the GOP.  Not only the election but recent polls show that a majority of Americans is dissatisfied with this Administration, and with the GOP back in charge of Congress, it’s time to show America and the world what’s really been going on, and what the media have been hiding.

So come on, Congress.  We didn’t elect you to go to Washington and work for a terrorist-sympathizing, freedom-hating socialist regime; we voted you into office to remove the self-appointed king from his throne.
