Many workers who voted for Obama are now regretting those votes. In anonymous testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee, several employees testified that they have been replaced by foreign workers on an H-1B high tech visa. It seems over four hundred workers at Southern California Edison alone have been replaced by foreign workers primarily from India.
The union representing these American workers says that only about half the STEM (Science, technology, engineering, math) graduates find jobs in the United States. This is primarily due to immigrants coming in who will work for less money.

This testimony comes on the
heels of union anger at the Obama administration for other issues as well, like
the Keystone XL pipeline. The White House says it will only create 20,000
construction jobs. To a blue collar family without work, one of these jobs
sounds pretty darn good.
