How Safe are we from an Outbreak of a Dangerious Disease?

When facing the massive problems associated with an open border, deluges of illegal immigration, and now even government sponsored surges of so-called “refugees,” we naturally must discuss our concern about terrorism and violent crime.
That, is only part of the threat.
The uncontrolled and chaotic violation this nation brought to us by President Obama’s immigration and refugee schemes pose a number of threats to the homeland as insidious and deadly as the Islamic jihadi.

Viruses we had finally eliminated from our lives are returning, and others we should never have to face are now crawling through our nation, targeting our children and families.

In addition to the word “jihad” we now must re-introduce into our lexicon the words measles, polio, diphtheria, tuberculosis, malaria, scabies, dengue, and now “Zika.”
The Zika virus is emerging as a new threat, is spread by mosquito bites, but the CDC is now warning of a transmission through a blood transfusion and sexual contact.

Symptoms include fever, rash, joint and muscle pain, and headache. The horror show part of this scourge is it can also apparently cause brain damage in the fetuses of pregnant women.

A 70-year-old Christian woman has been stripped naked, beaten and paraded through the streets by a mob of around 300 Muslim men in a village in southern Egypt.

The mob also burned down seven homes belonging to Christian families, according to an unusually outspoken statement issued by the local Orthodox Coptic church, after rumors circulated in the village that a Christian man was having a relationship with a Muslim woman.

The violence started at around 8pm on 20 May, and the local diocese said it was two hours before police responded, by which point the mob had already dispersed.

The woman who was stripped naked was reported to be the mother of the man involved in the rumored affair. She has since met with church leaders, the Diocese of Minya and Abu Qirqas said.

Republican state lawmakers in Oklahoma have introduced a resolution urging the state's congressional delegation to start an effort to impeach President Barack Obama over a White House recommendation that schools accommodate transgender students.

The Obama administration told U.S. public schools last week that transgender students must be allowed to use the bathroom of their choice. The recommendation upset Republicans and raised the likelihood of fights over federal funding and legal authority.

The Oklahoma resolution, introduced on Thursday night, calls on the state's members of the U.S. House of Representatives to file articles of impeachment against Obama, the U.S. attorney general, the U.S. secretary of education and others over the policy. A vote has not yet been scheduled on the resolution.

Your Right to Even Own a Gun is in Danger.

Not only is your right to carry a gun in danger, your right to even own one is in danger. 

Our gun rights, all of them, even the right to just own one exist only because of the way the Supreme Court chooses to interrupt the second amendment.

The last two times the Supreme Court saved our gun rights, once in 2008, and once in 2010, it was by the slim margin of 5-4.   That was before Justice Scalia met with his very suspicious death.  You don’t need an advanced degree in mathematics to see that the court is now in an even 4-4 split when it comes to your gun rights.  (And a lot of your other rights)

If Scalia’s seat were to be filled today, his replacement’s opinion, would determine how the second amendment is legally interrupted.  It is my hope that the republican controlled senate will delay this appointment until after the election.  After the election, they will not be able to delay any longer.  Then, all gun rights will depend upon who wins the election.

If Trump does not win, the appointment to fill Scalia’s will be anti-gun and there will be a 5-4 split AGAINST gun rights.  But, it gets even worse.   

Take a look at this.

Justice Ginsburg is 82 years old.

Justice Kennedy is 79 years old.

Justice Breyer is 77 years old.

Justice Thomas is 67 years old.

The next President will most likely appoint at least four new justices, and possibly five.   Think about that.  This Presidential election will be the most important vote you will ever cast in your entire life, and I’m not talking about just second amendment rights.  ALL of our rights are at stake here.  The very survival of this country comes down to this election.

Hiroshima atomic bomb victims want apology from Obama

Victims of the atomic bombings of Japan want an apology from US President Barack Obama when he visits Hiroshima next week, the head of a survivors' group said Thursday.

Obama will become the first sitting US president to visit Hiroshima, where the first atomic bomb was dropped on August 6, 1945, killing about 140,000 people in total.

Tens of thousands were killed by the fireball that the powerful Hiroshima blast generated, with many more succumbing to injuries or illnesses caused by radiation in the weeks, months and years afterwards.

Vast swathes of the city, including many of its military and industrial installations, were flattened.

The southern city of Nagasaki was hit by a second bomb days later, killing 74,000 people, in one of the final acts of World War II.

"I urge him to apologize to those who died, bereaved families and parents who lost their children," Terumi Tanaka, secretary general of the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations and a survivor of the Nagasaki explosion, told reporters.

In recent years, I have heard many American citizens, as well as citizens of other countries, criticizing America’s decision to use such inhumane tactics.  They seem to be convinced that the war was almost over and the use of nukes was unnecessary.  The truth is, the war was not almost over, and using the bombs not only saved untold thousands of American lives, it quite possibly saved many Japanese lives as well.

Obama should NOT apologize.  Not now…Not ever…

The attack on Pearl Harbor alone is reason enough to not apologize, but there are many other reasons that people seem to forget.

First, they were given the opportunity to surrender, and did not.  After the bombing of Hiroshima, they were given another opportunity to surrender, and did not.  The second bomb was then dropped on Nagasaki.

These bombs had never been tested so they were not even sue they would work.  They were of different design, I suppose so that if one design didn’t work perhaps the other would.  One was built using enriched Uranium, and the other with Plutonium.  So this was a desperate attempt to bring the war to an end, on the hope that at least one of them would work.

The attack on Pearl Harbor was not the only thing Japan was guilty of.  They were also guilty of numerous war crimes, which they were forgiven for as part of the surrender agreement.

I recently watched a very good movie entitled “unbroken”.  It’s a true story about American POWs during WW2.  If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it.  It shows a little of what the POWs had to endure, but these are just a few examples.   Many American POW’s were used as slave labor, and some were beheaded.  Many American POWs starved to death.  You can learn much more if you Google “Japanese war crimes world war two”.

 I realize all these events occurred a very long time ago, and I’m not trying to create resentment, or bring back bad memories for anyone, but before people call President Truman a murderer and a war criminal, they should know all the facts. 

 

I sometimes feel like our children today are being taught history with a very biased slant which tends to depict America as always being the “bad guys”. I’m not saying America has never made mistakes.  I’m just saying that the manner in which we brought an end to WW2 was not one on them.

       

Who Promoted Private Ryan?

Forty-eight hours after Donald Trump wrapped up the Republican nomination with a smashing victory in the Indiana primary, House Speaker Paul Ryan announced that he could not yet support Trump.

In millennial teen-talk, Ryan told CNN’s Jake Tapper, “I’m just not ready to do that at this point. I’m not there right now.”

“[T]he bulk of the burden of unifying the party” falls on Trump, added Ryan. Trump must unify “all wings of the Republican Party, and the conservative movement.” Trump must run a campaign that we can “be proud to support and proud to be a part of.”

Then, maybe, our Hamlet of the House can be persuaded to support the elected nominee of his own party.

Excuse me, but upon what meat has this our Caesar fed?

Ryan is a congressman from Wisconsin. He has never won a statewide election. As number two on Mitt Romney’s ticket, he got waxed by Joe Biden. He was compromise choice as speaker, only after John Boehner went into in his Brer Rabbit “Zip-a-dee-doo-dah” routine.

Who made Ryan the conscience of conservatism?

Who made Ryan keeper of the keys of true Republicanism?

Trump “inherits something … that’s very special to a lot of us,” said Ryan, “the party of Lincoln and Reagan and Jack Kemp.”

But Trump did not “inherit” anything. He won the nomination of the Republican Party in an epic battle in the most wide-open race ever, in which Trump generated the largest turnout and greatest vote totals in the history of Republican primaries.
What is Ryan up to?

He is pandering to the Trump-hating Beltway media and claiming the leadership of a Republican establishment routed and repudiated in the primaries, not only by that half of the party that voted for Trump, but also by that huge slice of the party that voted for Ted Cruz.

The hubris here astonishes. A Republican establishment that has been beaten as badly as Carthage in the Third Punic War is now making demands on Scipio Africanus and the victorious Romans.

This is difficult to absorb.

Someone should instruct Paul Ryan that losers do not make demands. They make requests. They make pleas.

What makes Ryan’s demands more astonishing is that he is the designated chairman of the Republican National Convention, a majority of whose delegates and whose nomination Trump is about to win.

Ryan is saying he is ambivalent over whether he will accept the verdict of the Cleveland convention — of which he is the chairman.

If Ryan holds to his refusal to accept the decision of the Republican majority in the primaries, he should be removed from that role. And if Ryan does not come out of Thursday’s meeting with the Donald, endorsing him, the presumptive nominee should turn to Paul Ryan, and, in two words, tell him, “You’re fired!”

Trump cannot allow the establishment to claw back in the cloakrooms of Capitol Hill what he won on a political battlefield. He cannot allow a discredited establishment to dictate the issues he may run on.

That would be a betrayal of the troops who brought Trump victory after victory in the primaries.

To longtime students of politics, there is rarely anything new under the sun. And there is precedent for the shakedown Ryan and his Beltway collaborators are trying to do to Trump.

Paul Ryan is the Nelson Rockefeller of his generation.

In 1960, Gov. Rockefeller refused to challenge Vice President Nixon in the primaries. When Nixon went to Rockefeller’s New York apartment to persuade him to join the ticket, Rocky refused, but demanded concessions in the platform, to which Nixon acceded.

The Chicago convention, a Nixon convention, believed itself betrayed by the “Pact of Fifth Avenue.”

Only the appearance of Sen. Barry Goldwater at the podium to tell conservatives to “grow up. We can take this party back,” halted a suicidal drive to take the nomination away from Nixon.

After Goldwater won the nomination in the 1964 California primary by defeating Rockefeller, Rocky arrived at the San Francisco convention to demand that a plank equating the John Birch Society with the Communist Party and Ku Klux Klan be written into Goldwater’s platform. Hooted and rejected, Rocky went home and refused to endorse the nominee, who went down to a crushing defeat by LBJ.

Nixon, a party loyalist, campaigned across the country for Barry and his doomed party.
In 1968, Nixon got his reward, the nomination, with Goldwater’s support. And Govs. Rockefeller and George Romney, who had done the Paul Ryan thing, never came close.
Rockefeller got what he deserved when the Reaganite heirs of Barry Goldwater, at Kansas City in 1976, demanded the dumping of Rocky from President Ford’s ticket. And they got it.

Paul Ryan, in declaring that he cannot now support Trump, and imposing conditions to earn his support, has crawled out on a long limb.

Trump cannot capitulate. He has to saw it off.

This is one Private Ryan we cannot save.

• His interaction with his older brother (who everybody loved) tells me that he thinks that everybody is like him - or wants to be - or should be.
• His relationship with his older brother was a hard lesson in tolerance for him.
• Trump is the Babe Ruth of career achievements. 
• He is dumb like a fox. When you think he just said something stupid - he didn't. It's just that you were not his target audience.
• Trump knows the people - the folk.
• His son, Donald Jr. is right. Trump is a "Blue Collar Billionaire".
• More than anything, his TV show, The Apprentice, was his passion. He wants all Americans to have confidence (like he does) to venture.
• Donald Trump is attracted to and marries smart, high achieving women.
• The highest levels of a Trump Administration is certain to have many women - and they will be bright and assertive.
• Donald Trump's children are very important to him. And it shows.

PS.  We will NEVER know even a fraction about Obama as we already know about Trump because Obama has had all of his records sealed.   He apparently has a lot of things in his past he does not want anybody to know.   His SECOND term is almost over and we don’t know hardly a thing about him.

Texas says NO to Bathroom Barry's new Bathroom policy.

Texas will forgo federal funds over LGBT policy, official says

Everyone who is not in a coma has heard by now that this past weekend Obama said he would withhold federal education funds from states who don't immediately embrace Obama's transgender bathroom policies. 

The current shell game of collecting money through the IRS and then sending it back to the states in the form of federal aid is merely a way for the federal government to dictate to the state how they must operate.  It's certainly nothing new, it’s been a popular for of blackmail for years.    Remember the nationwide 55-mile-per-hour speed limit? The same blackmail was used then.  That was never a 55 mph law passed by Congress. It was blackmail used by Jimmy Carter to deny federal highway funds to any state that didn't play ball.

Typically, states meekly capitulate to these threats because they don't want to lose the funds.  Obama knows that perfectly well, and figured he could use the threat of withholding federal funds to force his transgender bathroom agenda on the entire nation.

Well, the State of Texas just said, in so many words, “screw you”.
