I APOLOGIZE

I WAS WRONG TO CRITICIZE CHICAGO MAYOR RAHM EMMANUEL.

On July 25, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel said, “Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values.”

On Aug. 12, President Barack Obama said, “Chicago is an example of what makes this country great.”

On Aug. 24, 13 people were shot in the Windy City over the course of 30 minutes.

In total, 19 people were shot from late Thursday through early Friday morning.

Four men were shot in the Little Village neighborhood about 5:20 p.m.

About 9:30 p.m., eight were shot at 79th Street and Essex Avenue.

Two were shot on East 37th Street at about 9:25 p.m. About the same time, there was a drive-by shooting on West 39th Place.

At about 9:40 p.m., one man was shot on South Jeffrey Boulevard.

Early Friday, a teen was shot on South Vincennes Avenue.

At 1:30 a.m., another teen was shot on West Grenshaw Street.

Since 2001, more than 5,000 people have died from a gunshot wounds in Chicago.  This is is spite of Chicago’s strict gun control laws.

Mr. Rahm was correct; Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values.
Chicago values are more in line with his and Obama’s values.
