What you may not know about The Columbine High School massacre
Everyone remembers the terrible shooting at Columbine High School where two senior students, murdered a total of 12 students and one teacher and injured 21 additional students before committing suicide. But most people have no idea how much worse it would have been if not for the fact that there was an armed deputy on campus.
During the recent gun control debates, some people have implied that having armed police presence at schools wouldn’t help prevent mass shootings there because, after all, Columbine High School had a sheriff’s deputy on scene when the shooting broke out.
If you read the whole story of what actually happened, you will realize that if not for that armed deputy, the death toll would have been several hundred at the very minimum.
That deputy called for backup, and then he traded fire (that is, he drew fire) with one of the shooters for an extended period of time, during which time the shooter’s gun jammed. The deputy and the backup then exchanged fire with the shooters a second time and helped begin the evacuation of students. All of this happened before the police and SWAT teams arrived.
These two shooters (Harris and Klebold) had an assault plan. They had dozens of home made bombs, some of which detonated, others of which did not. Their plan was not to shoot a few dozen people, their plan was to wipe out the entire school. There were two of them, and in this highly chaotic environment, it would have been a massacre of unbelievable proportions if not for the quick response by the deputy and his backup, both of whom acted bravely and prudently.
Yes, 13 dead and 21 injured is a terrible thing, but if this
deputy had not been there, who knows how many bodies the police would have
found when they arrived.

Of course, you probably
didn't know any of this because mainstream media doesn't find it worth
reporting. It's not sensational enough and doesn't fit with their
agenda. What's insane is people
who think removing rights from responsible people will somehow keep them safe.
