(AGAINST His Job-Killing Clean Power Plan)

The Clean Power Plan is the centerpiece of Obama’s Climate Action Plan. It was announced in June 2013, and complies with his more recent pledge to the U.N. that the U.S. will cut its carbon emissions by as much as 28 percent from 2005 levels by 2025. 
The plan is a disaster on so many levels, the most important of which is that it will kill jobs (and the U.S. labor participation rates already at disastrous low levels). The US economy will find it hard recover from these regulations.  The EPA rule is looking to replace cheap energy with more expensive alternate energy, it will not only raise the cost of energy for the individual households, but will raise the cost of goods for companies marketing their products resulting in higher costs for all products, but especially staple goods. Overall the Obama created rise in the price of energy and resulting rise in the price of consumer goods will place the heaviest burden on middle and lower economic class families.

I have eliminated all candidates from consideration except two.

Anyone who has been reading my blog for any length of time knows I hate ethanol.  It is bad for your car’s engine.   In fact, if you drive an older model car, it will destroy the engine.  Neither my boat nor my lawn mower will even run on ethanol, that’s how bad the stuff is.  I understand Motorcycles wont run on the stuff either.

Gasoline containing ethanol actually cost a lot more to produce than pure gasoline.  The reason pure gas cost you more at the pump is because the federal government is subsidizing the ethanol industry with OUR tax dollars.

Politicians support these subsidies because they are afraid they might loose votes in the corn producing states, but that is not true.  The corn that is now being used to produce ethanol can, and should be used to produce bio-diesel.  Bio-diesel is much less expensive to produce than ethanol, and it is actually better for the diesel engine than pure diesel fuel.

And I might add, if you are concerned about the environment, pure gasoline burns cleaner than ethanol.

So, how do the Presidential candidates stand on the ethanol question?

Just last night, Dr. Ben Carson, who is leading the Republican field in many polls in Iowa, reversed his previous stance on ethanol, saying that he no longer supports using oil subsidies to pay for pumps at gasoline stations for higher ethanol blends. Finally, he's seen the light and taken a step in the right direction! 

A brief recap of where the candidates stand on this policy:

Hillary Clinton's most recent stance is that she wants to strengthen the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), which requires the U.S. to increase its ethanol consumption. Wait, it gets worse. In August she also said she wants to improve "access" to E15 and E85—two ethanol blends that are known to harm engines!   In other words, she wants to INCREASE the amount of ethanol they add to your gasoline.

Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley have both come out in support of ethanol mandates. In fact, O'Malley called on the Obama Administration to rethink its proposal to lower the amount of ethanol in gasoline as required by the 2007 federal law. 

 We've also got Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorina supporting a phase out of the mandates and Ted Cruz against them. 

Unfortunately, Chris Christie and Donald Trump want to keep them in place.

Now that I have heard what these candidate have to say on the ethanol question, I have eliminated all candidates except Dr. Ben Carson and Ted Cruz.   And I encourage everyone to do the same.

There are Two Major Forces at work to Destroy the World

Currently there are two major forces at work to destroy the world as we know it.  They are Islam and Climate Change Alarmist. 
Of course they claim, and many of them actually believe, that their motive is to “save the world”.  But world savers are anything but.  They always have an unspoken motive.
H.L. Mencken saw the self-appointed saviors for what they were almost a century ago, when he said the "whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by bombarding us with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of of which are imaginary."

The most persistent hobgoblin of the last quarter-century has been global warming, now called climate change but eventually to be known by some other scary name such as extreme weather.

The climate change activists are constantly bombarding us with warnings, hysteria, pleading, and threats.  Apocalyptic books have been written and scsry movies made, all in an effort to slow man's combustion of fossil fuels.  I have not read most of them, but I would guess they are pretty much an affirmation of the sermon I have been preaching every since crazy Al first discovered there's a lot of money to be made by scaring people.

Unfortunately, these alarmist are not limited to just our government and crazy Al.   Climate Change Alarmism is a world wide epidemic, and the true motive has absolutely nothing to do with climate.   The true motive is to destroy capitalism.  The U.N. is pushing the agenda, and even the Pope on board.

At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.

Two Muslim truck drivers who sued their former employer for religious discrimination after being fired for refusing to make beer deliveries have been awarded $240,000 by a jury. 

How is this equal protection under the law?   These Muslim drivers were fired for not delivering something because of their beliefs so they sued and won.

While at the same time Christians are being fined and jailed for following their beliefs.  And let’s not forget that a Christian bakery was actually put out of business for failing to do something that violated their religious beliefs.

WAIT, never mind, I know the answer to that…It’s because we have a racist Marxist Muslim President.

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH CRIME IN AMERICA.

How do you succeed at a life of crime in America?

Very simple, you first become a Democrat.   Democrats can get away with anything because they will always have the full support of the entire Democrat party and the news media, no matter what they may do.

Take for example the lifelong crime spree of Bill and Hillary Clinton.  To refresh your memory, please read my recent post  HERE. 
 
Oh sure Mr. Bill was impeached for lying to congress while under oath, but nothing happened to him.  He was not removed from his office as President.  He did not loose his lifetime Presidential pension.

Now consider the case of President Richard Nixon.   His big mistake was thinking that Republicans could get away with things that Democrats do all the time.  For those of you too young to remember, here is the true story of his downfall.

Contrary to what Democrats would have you believe, Nixon was actually one of our greatest modern day Presidents.  His accomplishments while in office included revenue sharing, the end of the draft, new anti-crime laws, and a broad environmental program.  As he had promised, he appointed Justices of conservative philosophy to the Supreme Court.  One of the most dramatic events of his first term occurred in 1969, when American astronauts made the first moon landing.

Some of his most acclaimed achievements came in his quest for world stability.  During visits in 1972 to Beijing and Moscow, he reduced tensions with China and the U.S.S.R.   His summit meetings with Russian leader Brezhnev produced a treaty to limit strategic nuclear weapons.  In January 1973, he announced an accord with North Viet Nam to end American involvement in Indochina.  You can learn more about President Nixon HERE.


In his 1972 bid for office, Nixon defeated Democratic candidate George McGovern by one of the widest margins on record.  However, a few months after his re-election, he learned, and the whole world learned, that during the campaign for re-election, a group of his supporters had broken into the Democratic campaign headquarters and placed a wiretap on their telephone.
 
There was of course a congressional investigation into the matter President Nixon, not wanting to throw is friends and supporters under the bus, lied to Congress and tried divert the investigation.  That lie was his downfall, even though Nixon had no personal involvement or any knowledge of the incident until after the fact.

It was common knowledge that President Nixon had recorders on his telephones in the White House and the courts forced him to turn over tape recordings which indicated that he had, in fact, tried to divert the investigation.
 
Because Republicans are held to a much higher standard than Democrats, Nixon had no support from either party after being caught in this lie.  He chose to resign rather than go through the embarrassment of impeachment proceedings.

Bill Clinton on the other hand, had full support of the Democratic Party after being caught in a lie.  The big difference is Clinton was lying to cover up his own misdeeds and Nixon lied to cover up for some of his supporters’ misdeeds.

I won’t even get into the lies and criminal activities of President Obama because that would require an entire book.  His lies are of course ongoing and will never end, as are Hillary Clinton’s.

Hillary constantly lied during both the investigation into her email scandal, and the Benghazi hearings.  She even had the audacity to openly laugh during a Congressional hearing and say that Ambassador Chris Stevens was “joking” when he frantically asked for more security.  
                     
Then, the committee found emails showing that on the night of September 11, 2012, just hours after the attack, Hillary mentioned to family members that it was an al-Qaeda-like attack.  Yet she still perpetuated the lie that it was caused by a YouTube video.

She dug herself an even deeper hole.  The media can call her victorious all they want.  She did some serious damage to her campaign during that hearing.
But who is going to prosecute her?  NOBODY; because she will always have the full support of the Democrats and the leftist news media, no matter what she says or what crimes she commits.

The day after Hillary’s testimony, the Department of Justice announced that it was closing the investigation into Lois Lerner deliberately targeting Conservative groups.  Despite all the evidence of her hatred of Conservatives and the fact that her hard drives were mysteriously destroyed, the DOJ is going to let her off.

The case is closed.  Lois Lerner will get ZERO jail time and will continue to receive a six-figure government pension.  She stole the election by making it impossible for Obama’s opponents to organize. Now she is completely free.  The Obama administration protects its own.

The case against Lois Lerner was clear.  Like Mrs. Clinton, she did her best to hide her emails from the public.  But in the end, documents were revealed showing Lerner’s pure contempt for Conservatives.

If she had been a Republican targeting Republicans, it would have been an open and closed case.  Ms. Lerner abused her power at the IRS to deny Conservative non-profit applications in order to affect election results.  But as we expected, the Obama administration just let her off.

We know for a fact that Hillary Clinton lied about Benghazi.  While she was lying to the American people about how a “video” caused the attacks, she was emailing her closest family telling them that it was in fact a terrorist attack.

We know for a fact that Hillary Clinton and the State Department denied somewhere around 600 requests for additional security at the Benghazi.

We know for a fact that Hillary Clinton never signed a waiver for security arrangements on the Benghazi site, a clear violation of the Secure Embassy Construction and Counterterrorism Act of 1999, 22 USC § 4865 2(B)(ii).

We know for a fact that Hillary Clinton committed perjury and lied under oath when she claimed she handed over all government record. She didn’t.

We know for a fact that she violated the Espionage Act, 18 USC § 793(a), by showing gross negligence in leaving classified documents vulnerable to foreign intelligence services.

The moral to the story is; if you’re going to break the law or lie under oath, first make sure you register as a Democrat.  You will then have the Democratic Party and the media covering for you and protecting you.

The $15 minimum wage increase in Seattle

The $15 minimum wage increase in the Seattle area “is getting off to a pretty bad start,” according to a new report.

Data shows that the Seattle Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) lost 700 restaurant jobs from January to September of this year, and a report from the American Enterprise Institute suggests that this could be the product of adverse effects of minimum wage hikes on restaurant jobs.

Well, I am not convinced just yet.  It’s a long time until the primaries and a lot can happen.  There has been a big surge in Ben Carson’s poll numbers in recent days so I wouldn’t count him out just yet.

The Saga of Hillary and Billary.

Many of today’s young people are unaware of most of this, so if you're under 50 you really need to read this.

If you are over 50, share it with those under fifty.

Amazing to me how much I have forgotten!  When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform.  Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn’t even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress.  This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies, promotion, and other efforts.

Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general.  Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood – both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno – husband Bill described her selection as “my worst mistake.”  Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.

Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission.  Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovered of Ms. Guanier’s radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.

Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations.  She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department.

Her selections went well:  Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.

Many younger votes will have no knowledge of “Travelgate.”  Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson – and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired.  This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation.  Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime.

Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security.  When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House.

Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.

Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the “bimbo eruption” and scandal defense.  Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle were: She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit.  After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones.  She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor.  After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.

Hillary’s devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for 'lying under oath' to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives.

Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, “I do not recall,” “I have no recollection,” and “I don’t know” a total of 56 times while under oath.

After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen.  Unbelievable!   Are you ready for another four or eight year of this type low-life mess?

Apparently she kept the White House Silverware.

Now we are exposed to the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the “pay to play” schemes of the Clinton Foundation – we have no idea what shoe will fall next.  But to her loyal fans - “what difference does it make?”

All of this is absolutely true.  Research it for yourself.  This pair of crooks makes the Mafia look like a bunch of choir boys.   They should both be in prison, but instead, Bill is on easy street with a presidential pension for the rest of his life, and Hillary is running for the office of President.

Electing Hillary Clinton president would be like granting Satan absolution and giving him the keys to heaven!

Donald Trump Predicted the 9-11 attack over a year before it happened.

In 2000, long before the 9-11 attack, Trump wrote the following.

“I really am convinced we’re in danger of the sort of terrorist attacks that will make the bombing of the Trade Center look like kids playing with firecrackers,”  “No sensible analyst rejects this possibility, and plenty of them, like me, are not wondering if but when it will happen.”

He was of course referencing the 1993 attack on the Trade Center that killed six and injured hundreds.

Obama Says: Christians are A threat To America

Disagreement is not hatred, and the truth is not hate speech.  Somebody needs to tell that to President Obama.

If you have ever wondered whether President Obama has an abiding hostility to people of Christian faith, wonder no more. He believes we are a threat to national security. If you are a sincerely devoted follower of Jesus Christ, your president believes you are a potential domestic terrorist.

I do not exaggerate. In a gathering at George Washington University this week, Obama's assistant attorney general for national security, John Carlin, revealed that the Department of Justice is creating a brand new position just to monitor us. The position, domestic terrorism counsel, will be created to combat the "real and present threat" of domestic terrorism.

And where, pray tell, does this threat come from? From the Muslim Brotherhood, which has a stated goal of exterminating Western civilization and sabotaging our miserable house from within? Nope. From ISIS, which is actively recruiting Jihadists in all 50 states? Nope. Jihadists who are sneaking into the United States disguised as Syrian refugees? Nope.

No, the real threat to our national security, according to our president and his minions, is coming from the Family Research Council and the American Family Association.

Carlin lauded the work of the thoroughly discredited Southern Poverty Law Center, which is so blatantly and maliciously biased against Christians that other parts of Obama's administration – the FBI, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Army – are getting as far away from the SPLC as they can.

But the folks at SPLC are still useful to the DOJ, which is desperate to paint conservative Christians as a greater threat to our domestic tranquility than people who are determined to decapitate us in the name of Allah.

Senator Ted Cruz speaks to a radio audience in Iowa regarding the devious plan of Hussein Obama to flood the United States with a quarter of a million unvetted Muslims, or as they might more familiarly be known, Islamic terrorists.
Cruz says the plan to bring in the mystery Muslims “makes no sense and I think it’s crazy.” He says it’s one of the things “that will stop immediately” if he’s elected president.

Senator Cruz speaks to the makeup of the so-called refugees, noting that one estimate pins the percentage of military/terrorist age males among the population at 77% and notes the likelihood and reports that there are a significant number of ISIS terrorists included in their ranks.

He says, “It is lunacy for ‘president’ Obama to be bringing people into this country who are coming here to commit jihad to murder innocent Americans. It doesn’t make any sense and sadly it’s a result of the ideological extremism of this ‘president’ and his unwillingness to protect our national security.” The Senator is too kind. It’s because the foreign subversive occupying the White House is also a Muslim engaged in jihad against America. Bringing in others to commit terrorist acts is terrorism, it is jihad of the most treacherous kind.

CLIMATE CHANGE UPDATE

According to this News Article, crippling blizzards, snowstorms and sub-zero temperatures threaten a yearly dose of Arctic misery for the next FIFTY YEARS at least - and possibly decades more.
“Climate experts” warn a rare pattern of water cooling in the north Atlantic will trigger a chain reaction of events leading to a “fully-blown ice age”.

I have believed for some time now that we were entering into a period of Global Cooling rather than Warming, but I have to wonder if these are the same “climate experts” who have been warning us for the past 30 years that we are all going to die because of “global warming”.  OK, so perhaps they finally got it right, but people are understandable going to be skeptical.  

Obama Keeps Sabotaging FBI Investigation Of Hillary

Federal agents were still cataloging the classified information from Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal email server last week when President Obama went on television and played down the matter.

“I don’t think it posed a national security problem,” Mr. Obama said Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes.”  He said it was a mistake for Mrs.  Clinton to use a private email account when she was secretary of state, but his conclusion was unmistakable: “This is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.”

Those statements angered F.B.I. agents who have been working for months to determine whether Ms. Clinton’s email setup had in fact put any of the nation’s secrets at risk, according to current and former law enforcement officials.

THE "DIRT" ON BEN CARSON...

Well, someone dug into Dr. Ben Carson’s past, and the worst “dirt” they could come up with is that he “officially became a Republican less than a year ago”.  My how terrible.  It seems like he has been registered as an Independent for many years.

To quote Clark Gable “quite frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn”.  I mean seriously, Obama was elected without even being vetted, and we still don’t know for sure if he is even an American citizen, and someone is getting their shorts all up in a wad because Carson used to be registered as an independent.

Here’s what I think: Before Dr. Carson retired from his medical career, he was probably too busy to pay a whole lot of attention to politics.  He was probably exhausted, physically, mentally, and emotionally by the end of his work day.   If this is the worst "dirt" they could dig up, Dr. Carson must be squeaky clean.  

It always amasses me how much higher the standards are for Republicans than for Democrats.  How many Republican politicians have all their records sealed?

VERY GOOD QUESTION…This year alone, he has:

• Forcefully defeated the valiant efforts of Senators Mike Lee and Ted Cruz to defund Obamacare.
• Failed to support Senator Mike Lee's effort to defund Planned Parenthood in the wake of their body parts trafficking scandal.
• Helped Harry Reid block a vote on an amendment offered by Ted Cruz that would have prevented lifting sanctions on Iran unless and until Iran recognizes Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state and unless and until Iran releases American hostages.
• Allowed Senator Harry Reid and the Democrats to pass an amendment that reauthorized the Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im) – as a reward the lobbyists on K Street and undeniable corporate welfare.  This action was so egregious that Ted Cruz boldly took to the Senate floor and called out Senator McConnell for lying.  
• Was referred to by George Stephanopoulos as President Obama’s "point man" in the Senate; and

We know that Mitch McConnell is no friend to conservatives.  In fact, Roger Villere, Louisiana Republican Party Chairman, has called for McConnell’s resignation.  Even Rand Paul, the junior Senator from McConnell’s home state of Kentucky, refuses to say whether or not he supports McConnell.
