ATTENTION POTHEADS, and future potheads

Just HALF a joint of cannabis 'causes psychosis-like effects in healthy people that's similar to schizophrenia', say experts

  • Active ingredient in cannabis delta-9-THC is linked to psychosis effects
  • Scientists do not fully understand mechanisms that cause these effects
  • Yale team found delta-9-THC increases random neural activity, or noise
  • Believe increased neural noise plays role in psychosis triggered by drug
  • Experts say effects are similar to the symptoms of schizophrenia

  1. So I don't understand what point your trying to make. Are you giving a surgeon generals warning to adults about possible side effects of Marijuana? Might as well go on and list the detrimental effects zoloft, paxil or everyone's favorite alcohol while your at it. It might help get pot decriminalized. We don't need government telling me what good and bad to put in my body when there's genetically altered foods being forced onto children and others with almost zero knowledge of what may happen to the population that eats them.

  3. Likewise, I don’t understand your point.
Are you saying people should NOT be informed of the detrimental effects of Zoloft, Paxil, and Alcohol?
Or are you saying Marijuana is the only drug which the possible side effects should be kept secret from the public?
When a doctor prescribes a drug, any drug, Zoloft, Paxil, or Marijuana, he is supposed to inform the patient of any and all possible bad side effects. Of course all of them are required to also list those side effects on the label, except for marijuana.
All forms of tobacco are required to have a warning on the label.
I’ sorry, I just don’t understand what point you are attempting to make in your comment.

    Have a nice day.
