Racial Harmony In America

Like a lot of people, I have been noticing recently that racial integration and racial harmony has not been working out as well recently as we had hoped.   And yes, a lot of it is the President’s fault and there’s not much we can do to correct that until the next election.  But we have other problems as well.

For example, take a look at all these special programs for blacks only.
New Black Panther Party
Congressional Black Caucus
NAACP
Collective Black People Movement
100 Black Men
Black Male Community Empowerment Forum
Black Voices for Peace
Black Millionaires Mentoring Program
Black Women for Obama
Black Youth Creative Combating Oppression
Blackonomics
Breakin Black Men Free
United Black America
Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA)
Black Unity Movement
Black Nation Task Force
Black Phoenix Rising - Positive Changes
Black Movie Makers
UNIA-ACL - Global Black Government
Black Database
Blacks in the City Course
The National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America
Black Business Builders
National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers (NABHOOD
Black Culinarians Alliance (BCA)
Blacks In Government (BIG)
Black Wall Street Merchants Association
Black Women In Sisterhood For Action (BISA)
Miss Black USA
National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
National Association of Blacks In Criminal Justice (NABCJ)
National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI)
National Registry of Black Baby Names
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
Black Student Union
Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice
United Negro College Fund
Black Women’s Roundtable
The American Association of Blacks in Energy
The Association of Black Psychologists
The Executive Leadership Council
The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies
The National Association of Black Journalists
The National Black Business Council
The National Black Chamber of Commerce
The National Black MBA Association
The National Black Nurses Association
The National Council of Negro Women
National Coalition of 100 Black Women
The National Medical Association
The National Newspaper Publishers Association, also known as the African-American Press of America
The Organization of Black Designers

There are probably some more that I missed, but you get my point.  There are also groups and organizations and programs for Asians only, and for Hispanics only.

There are no organizations for white people only to my knowledge (that would be discrimination) except for the KKK which was formed by southern Democrats and is now pretty much non-existent.
OK, so what is my point?  The point is: all of these special programs, or most of them at least, were supposedly formed to help or benefit black people in America...and how is that working out for black culture?

Maybe it's all a scam.   Maybe most of these programs are unnecessary.  Maybe some of these programs are doing more harm than good.  Maybe they encourage segregation and discourage integration.   Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about.

What do you think?
